Do eye strikes work for self-defense? It CAN be a fight ender when you poke an eye, not 'is' a fight ender. Don't make those types of gurantees. Icy Mike at Hard2Hurt's KZbin goes over eye gouges. Search up: "Eye pokes for self defense and in MMA". He makes a lot of sense. To sum up Mike: he's a former police officer who retired and is training others how to fight and defend themselves. Not only that, he goes over self defense topics and tests them. Watch a former cops opinion on the matter of eye gouging. You know, someone who more than likely has had someone's fingers in his eyes before while he's trying to bring in bad guys? Putting a fist to someone's face is tough enough. Now imagine putting your smaller fingers into someone's smaller eyes. Can it happen? Sure. But is it debilitating? Not against a dedicated attacker it isn't. Now try the eye gouging as you two are moving and are training. If you'd actually train eye gouging (like I do) you'd realize that submissions like chokes and armlocks are infinitely better fight enders that are easier to pull off than an eye gouge.

@@Escrima_ well first we’re talking about real life not video games 😂 no one is going to be tall enough nor strong enough to lift you up by the leg drop you and choke you at the same time. This is reality not fantasy
