Thanks for this, it is so hard to find info on using these pliers as I intend to - I am trying to use the fold over crimps that are NOT ends, to create loops and join ends in leather cord for a phone lanyard, so strength is important. The other info I can't find is on sizes... there are so many sizes, and if I am folding over two ends, or one, (unlike just capping an end), it's probably not just adding sizes, i.e. 3mm cord x4 = 12mm crimp... I'd be so happy if anyone has better information, or if this is just trial and error... which feels wasteful as well as time consuming, getting so many different sizes...

Hi! That's a tricky one and I do think it might just be trial and error - especially since strength is the most important aspect. I think you might need to test it out and tug on them, see what holds. I'm sorry I don't have a specific answer.

Will this crimp closure work on any type of cord?
@beadaholique4 жыл бұрын
They're designed to work best with leather and suede. We've also found they work well on faux suede and on macrame bracelets using nylon cord. As long as the material you use is pliant enough that the crimps can sink into it a bit for grip and strong enough that it doesn't shred easily you should get good results.

Does this work with elastic cord to??
@beadaholique3 жыл бұрын
No we don't recommend using crimps with ecstatic cord, they don't hold well. Here's our favorite method for securing elastic cord: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoKlXod5nNuhj6c
