I know we are headed to food storage season but if you can wait until Black Friday specials things like this, food dehydrators,, and canners can be purchased for less. I got my All American Canner and one for my sister on a Black Friday special. Tattler lids usually has October sales on lids and rubber rings.

I was ready to throw a panic fit because the lights on the side of my brand new machine were not coming on and I was just getting ready to vacuum seal some blanched corn on the cob. @@LadysFarm, seems to be good. My first attempt so we'll see down the road. Forty ears in the big freezer. Had to freeze before finishing the sealing. Water kept getting pulled out and not sealing the package.. Even tried paper towels inside to catch water. It helped some but I decided to freeze the blanched cobs a bit before finishing. All good now. It helped. Peace to you and yours. Thanks for checking in. ☮️

They're great. I love mine. I purchased the game saver model that will run off the car port where you could charge your cell phone. That way if power is ever out it could be used. Intent was if any family members went hunting they could take it and seal where they were camping. I use mine mostly for sealing mason jars with foods I have dehydrated. I bought the adapters for regular and wide mouth jars that go in the accessory port.

I love mine. It’s about 20 years old and works like a charm (I probably just jinxed it). You have to hold down the top to run it, but no big deal to me.

I’ve found with some veggies, you may have to freeze them first to keep from “smushing” them if vacuum packing …like okra (okree).

The bag might not be fully in the drip tray or if the food is blocking some parts of the bag and not slowing the air to exit.

i just bought one over the weekend and had 3 5lb of potatoes, and thought i could shred them for hash browns! I froze them in the bags, then tried to bag on the machine it would not seal. I thought maybe i had to much in them, so i removed some it still wouldnt seal. Should the items be laying flat?

I usually lay them flat on a table when I vacuum seal. maybe you have a bad sealer. might also just have to take it back. I’ve never had an issue with my sealer

Used one for the first time this weekend Beef was fresh and pink I put it in the Fridge The next day the pink beef had turned pail brown, as in oxidised Did I do something wrong?

No I don't think you did anything wrong, the meat will still turn brown if not put in the freezer in time. What was the sell by date on the beef?

Good video. The only thing I'd change is using tongs to put the meat in the bags so contaminated hands wouldn't be touching the meat and machine. Might be good to lessen cross contamination if doing dry foods after.

I have an older one that does not have the drip tray or the dry, moist feature. It works OK on dry items, but doe not work great for items that are moist. I tried it on beets that I wanted to freeze after peeling and blanching. It would suck the liquid out and created a mess and never sealed very well. Yours did a much better job.

I did read that it works best if you freeze things for a couple hours that may have a lot of water or moisture. Maybe trying that with your beets. Still good to have for dried items ❤️

nice yeah I use the adapter to seal some jars 🫙 that i dehydrated and sealed some of the beef fat off of briskets I smoke to use later on. so many things to use and preserve for sure. good luck with it 🥰

can you take it back. I’m not sponsored by them at all but that’s good info to know. I haven’t had that issue with mine. I’ve used it to do 140 chickens all pieced out and 800 lb hog pieced out. not everything from the hog for in there but I’ve used mine a ton. and I haven’t had any issues so far. sorry you’re wasn’t working. try reaching try to them or sending it back if that helps
