Thanks for that demonstration. I'm at the stage where they are about to install appliances. Cabinets and counters are placed. About the time you revealed that smoke I told my husband he would be grilling the steaks 😮. We always enjoy you content. Keep up the good work. ❤

Hi HJW! If you are doing appliance installation that's great! Make sure you get all the warranty booklets from the installation people or your builder. I remember that one of the installation people threw one of our warranty booklets in with the trash. Luckily Mo saw that and retrieved it. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! That indoor smoke situation is ridiculous!

Thank you for posting. On my oven when the probe reached the temp and I dismissed the message, the oven did not advance to the next step to sear. Any thoughts?

Hi Joseph! Thank you for watching and reaching out. I made steak a few times and made other things in this oven where when the oven reaches a certain temperature or step in a process, it alerts like that, and when I hit dismiss, the alert stops but the cooking process continues. However, I haven’t tried opening the oven and removing the probe before dismissing the alert. So maybe that might work for you. Also, although it hasn’t happened while making steak, i have accidentally cancelled cooking processes when I was trying to do something else. I can think of one more thing - maybe there’s a way you can try updating your oven menu? Every now and then when I walk past the oven, I notice there’s a message about an update that has been done, that adds some functionality. This makes me think there may be a way to run an update, in case the problem is that steak mode in your menu isn’t working the way it should. I hope one of these methods helps you.

Hi Deja! No, we are not on FB. Both of us used to be on FB, but took a hiatus, and then by the time we tried to get back on so much stuff changed that we just gave up. LOL! Now we are those people in the family who don't know what's going on and everybody yells at us that if we were on FB we'd know. LOL!!

Hi Beamer! I don't know why GE would make a cooking function where smoking up your house is part of making anything but I'm not doing that again! LOL!!!
