After of having a front loader for 15 years, I went back to a top loader and got this one, I hope it doesn't disappoint. in 15 years I had to repair my front loader 2 times. My Front loader did a great job cleaning all my clothes and sheets that ever went in it.
@borregoimages81173 жыл бұрын
Front loaders are definitely more efficient in terms of water consumption and quality of clean. The top loaders use more water and have shorter run cycles in comparison. With that being said, I think the GTW720BSNWS is a half way decent washer with a plethora of options for washing specifically stained garments. What do you think of yours?

@@borregoimages8117 My Big issue with this washer is unbalance loads all the time, I always make sure everything is even all the way around the drum and somehow it's placing pants and shirts to one side a lot of times for some unknown reason so once I have an unbalance load in the middle of the wash time, I have to remove everything around so it's a pain to do this most of the time, my front loader put the cloths in and forget it until it's done..Plus it's loud during the spin cycle, it sounds like a helicopter taking off is the Best way I can describe it. I would like it more if I didn't have to baby sit the wash load so I'm kind of of disappointed to be totally Honest, the thing about it I thought it would work like my mothers Top loader when I was growing up, she never had any problems with her Top loaders of the 70's and even 90's.. It makes noise at every point it goes through. But my biggest complaint is how little water it allows into the machine. Deep Fill doesn’t always work…hardly ever works, IMO. I end up with the clothes on top of the water, there is so little of it. I agree with you about how the lights come on when you open the lid. That’s annoying. All in all, I’m hoping to get rid of mine as soon as possible. All the fancy sensors are needless. That machine has power over you because you can’t set it how you want it. Plus the noise the agitator makes sounds like it’s being strangled.
@borregoimages81173 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that, but if you select a cycle that has deep fill you can press it multiple times to add 3gal of water each time. As for the agitator, our unit is Direct drive. So there's no real grinding sound coming from ours persay atleast nothing out of the ordinary... As for the noise, where's it coming from in the washer? It could either be a belt if it's belt driven or a bearing...
@lilianaorozco52283 жыл бұрын
Thanks for video. I just bought one. I could not figure load size select. It spins and says Sensing. I assume sensors tell machine load size, weight and how much water to use. It seemed so little, like only enough to wet. It never got soapy and Downy half spill in. Should I water Downy down? Also, mine bigger cu. so since small load is that why it spins with some off balance and slight knocking noise? I thought no way clothes clean but it did great! I super impressed. I've done 2 loads so far. It got so hot that top panel got all steamed up with droplets and glass inside too. Maybe Sanitizer on? What a cool feature! I'm still learning it. I didnt know about power supply issue so do you recommend unplugging? I guess memory (favorite cycle?) is why it needs constant power?

Lissa, have you tried to repositioning the garments in the washer after it rebalances the tub and goes into the second spin? As for the drain pump you may want to unplug the unit wait 2 minutes then plug it back in to see if the drain pump motor drains the water on those cycles. Otherwise, you may have to set up service on the computer module or pump motor. :/

@@borregoimages8117 Thank you for your response. Finally figured it out. On the newer machines, after you place your clothes in the washer...and hit start...it spritzes a small stream of water...then it does it again - It then starts to spins the clothes then stops. After about 30 seconds or so, it then starts the full cycle. (It will do this with every load) Apparently, when it does all that it is computing the amount of water needed for washing the load placed in it. What I really dislike is there is no cancel. If you make a mistake....like forgetting to press DEEP FILL, - to cancel, you have to change the setting to drain and spin....wait til all that is done and then start over. Buyers Remorse - kinda wish I had bought the simple AMANA model without all the bells and whistles.

I've had similar issues with mine. This machine is very unpredictable when it comes to filling up to the right water level. Also the washer won't let you change any of the settings once it runs a few minutes into the wash cycle. So if you need to add more water to the rinse, you have to pour it in with a bucket. If you press the deep fill before the cycle starts, it increases the water by 3 gallons above the water level the machine decided on. If you press the deep fill button again while the washer is in the middle of the wash cycle, it will add another 3 gallons of water to the wash. If you press and hold the deep fill button for 3 seconds before the cycle starts (this will also work when the machine is in the middle of the wash cycle) it will add 26 gallons of water in there, which is at the top row of holes of the tub, but that is as high the water level will go. Deep fill is available for all cycles except colors (normal), and sanitize with oxi.

Ge machine makes to much noise and they don’t put in enough water
@borregoimages81174 жыл бұрын
They actually are pretty quite to be honest. We owned Samsung prior to this and they're different units but the GE is not "noisy" its still a direct drive motor not belt driven with 850rpms on the spin cycle. If you balance the load it should function smoothly.

@Frank and Radhika Review I balance the load. The washing machine is no good

The Colors cycle (normal) is so stupid! Trying to wash a huge load of laundry with only an inch or 2 of water! It wrecked my king size comforter and a few pieces of clothing!

@@LoveMissStephee Exactly. That’s what I said to Frank and Radhika. This wash machine is garbage and it is a shame for something like this to be built in America.

I happen to think that it's a VERY good machine. I've had it now 2 years no problems and clean clothes.

You're not alone. This thing is a big disappointment.
@Blurain7272 жыл бұрын
@@r.p.9198 you wanna know a bigger disappointment, this machine can't even do spins between the rinses! Spins between the rinses are very important because these spins help get more of the detergent out of the clothes before the rinse, thus equaling a better rinsing performance.

How do I rinse it for more time without it adding more water
@borregoimages8117 Жыл бұрын
Where it says, warm rinse, extra rinse, deep rinse. It won't add more water it'll just recirculate the same water.
