How to Use Guitar Pro with VST (LoopMIDI Method)

Oh my god this is what I was looking for since Years !!!! I actually directly connected to EZ Drummer 3 and EZ bass without using a DAW. Super easy to Setup. I had some annoying latency at the beginning because I couldn't select ASIO with the driver of my Audio interface. But after installing Asio4all, it works just perfect. Thank you soooo much !!! This is a game changer for Guitar Pro users who wants a great sound to practice with !!!!! Rock on man

Hey bro...is there a video of the method you done that i could learn from... or alternatively if you have the time to write us the steps I need to take to connect my Drum VST thing... I have Hertz Drum software ... hertzinstruments. com /products/hertz-drums-standart-plugin/ .... was a promotional sale ...cheap as... it states ... "The standalone version allows you to use Hertz Drums without a DAW" ... and.... "Integrate Hertz Drums seamlessly into your workflow with pre-configured drum maps from other popular virtual drums".... sounds cool... but i haven't got a clue on how to do that with Guitar Pro 8.... any help... greatly appreciated!! cheers

only thing im confused on is metronome. what did you use in your daw for metronome sound?

@@Tury1799 I downloaded the metronome sound of pro tools and put it on Ableton sampler. I also created a track in guitar pro for the metronome. You could skip this and use guitar pros metronome instead

Hi Sebastian, thank you for this tutorial. It was exactly what I was looking to do. I followed your steps exactly, but when I hit play in GP8, only the currently selected track is played in ableton. Is there a setting that I am missing? Also, it would be great to get your template that has all this wired up already.

@@_GrumpyOldPunk I think that you are only missing the Output Monitoring setting, select the “IN” from the “In/Auto/Off” track options. Hope this solves the problem

In the mean time the chain goes like this: Bass: DI [Kontakt] DjinnBass + Darkglass Ultra Distortion [Kontakt] DjinnBass + Archetype Nolly (Guitar Plugin) SUB [Kontakt] DjinnBass + Bx_Subfilter On my current template I'm not using EZ Bass however is a great plugin for clean a round bass. Drums: Cymbals [EZ Drummer] Snare/Kick [EZ Drummer] Samples (Snares, Kick and Toms) [Kontakt] Here I load some samples I have from a library to be triggered as a complement to the EZ Drummer sounds. I just like to divide the MIDI information onto different channels so I can decide whenever I want a more aggressive or clean sound. Another cool feature I've been using a lot n guitar pro 8 is the external audio. Know you can upload the original audio or your demo and practice with that audio instead of the guitar pro or VST sounds. It had saved me a lot of time when some client ask me to transcribe a song. Hola!! Justo cuando saqué este tutorial uno de mis grandes amigos baterista que también usa Guitar Pro y Fl, me dijo que no lo había logrado hacer el ruteo con FL. Yo personalmente no tengo FL Studio, no sé cómo podría ayudarte... Ahora, en la versión de GP 8 se puede adicionar el audio original de las canciones, con nuestra banda Addicted to Chaos, en camino a grabar nuestro tercer disco, tenemos los guitar pros pero lo que suena son audios de las maquetas que ya grabamos. Además para transcribir ha sido una herramienta increíble, 11 canciones para un trabajo de una banda de punk y creo que sin esta función no hubiera aceptado. Es la única alternativa que te puedo ofrecer por el momento !

No hay forma de enviar desde guitar pro una señal CC o una nota adicional que no esté en la tablatura, ¿no? ¿o de decirle que los palm mute los envíe cómo una nota concreta en lugar de una reducción del volumen (o cómo lo envíe)?

La verdad no sabría si se puede. Se qué hay PlugIns que los palm mute son C0 o D0 para sustain. Sería ver si se pueden escribir en la partitura para que se envíen al tiempo

Tienes que ajustar el velocity en el piano roll. Y con eso suena el Palm mutting.
