I’ve had a Magic Keyboard for close to 3 years now and knew about a lot of the gestures for navigating around the iPad already. Extremely helpful - so much information. I am trying to find a way to decrease the sensitivity of the Magic Keyboard. When I am typing, sometimes it jumps to another place in the document, and sometimes some paragraphs simply disappear. Very frustrating, of course, and I don’t know where to find the “lost” text.

Thank you for this information as I just got this for the IPad Pro 12.9 5th generation that I’ll be getting very soon. I’ll be having to watch this a few times to still learn how it will all work. I found this all completely by accident. Something you didn’t cover is how to turn it on and off and where to find the on and off switch. How to find out how little or how much the battery for the keyboard is charged. I see no on and off switch on this one and see no kind of battery indicator on this version of the keyboard. I like this keyboard… it’s much better than having to type just one letter at a time using the iPad keyboard itself. 🐈

Glad you liked it. There isn’t an on or off switch and as far as I know it uses the iPad battery to work, it doesn’t hold any charge or have a battery in it.

Two things I noticed: 1. Similar to single finger swipe up to curtain down, one can single finger swipe down to curtain raise. This can be done by three finger swipe up as well 2. To access control center, hover the pointer over the battery display on the top right corner and single finger swipe up. Bit tricky though! 3. Also, in the control center, do two finger swipe up or down for volume and brightness control

I frequently use the arrow keys on a regular keyboard to move my cursor. I have such trouble with my arrow keys in apps like OneNote, emails, etc. My arrow keys move me to different sections of the app. Please help! How do i make my arrow keys just move my cursor in these apps…it is driving me Crazy!!

Thanks glad you liked it. It works the same as it does on a computer. Just click and drag. However some apps don't slow this and you have to either tap on the text like normal to bring up the selection options or in some cases click on the text to bring up the options.

Yeah it's tough. Some apps block this outright and others don't support the track pad. It is annoying...

Great Tutorial and lots of great info. Command-Period is equivalent to escape key by the way. I have a trouble ticket with Apple Engineering about a bug I've come across when using Accessibility Full Access Keyboard and the relatively new Shortcuts macro App. Been trying to extend the commands to give me media control and using the Globe button as a function key (it's defaulted as Fn button).The bug is both latency for the Shortcuts App to respond to, Notification Banner shows up when using the keybinds I've created, and intermittently Apple Spotlight stops working (can't type anything into the window). Turning off Full Keyboard Accessibility has been the only way I can fix this bug. I'm curious to find out if you or anyone else has experienced this issue.

Wow no I haven’t had that issue but I don’t use the glove key at all. Hopefully they can figure that out. I also have a ticket with Big Sur for the Mac. None of my accessories are recognized when plugged into the usb c ports unless they are name branded. Definitely hope this trend doesn’t continue with Apple.

The pencil is great for notes, images etc if you prefer that but the keyboard and apps are great too it’s all personal preference. I don’t have the pencil as most of my use is keyboard related or simple touch. Best way to see the price is to check apples site.
