How to use launchpad as a midi soundboard

THANK YOU!!!! Literally perfect timing for releasing this video! I Just got my launchpad mini with the intent of using it as a soundboard and I was going through a rough time trying to set it up with all the other recommended programs on the internet. I just cant seem to get it to play the audio thru my mic. Is there another program i would need to use that? I used to use "soundpad" on steam which worked perfect, but my key binds started to conflict with eachother

Voice meter would be what your looking for. I have it set up with vb audio cable and set to hardware input on there and my mic is on channel 1 and I mix them both down to buss a. It's a little complicated but you can check out some videos on voice meter. I'm going to do a video on it I just didn't have time yet. It's coming this week though

When i press a button on the launchpad, it doesnt show up on MIDI Device. 2:24 i dont understand what im doing wrong, it recognizes on the main page that its a Launchpad MK2 but when i try to add a sound, it wont come up or recognize my input

Must be something in settings...it should allow you to do both at one time...see if there is something in settings that prioritize audio or has some kind of ducking

i don't know why but when i try to open the setup windows defender is saying that "it protected the computer from this program". help?

That's because it's not digitally signed by a company. It's a small time coder that made the program. You would have to open up defender and allow it though

@@blvstxff5566 check your filters. Also if your running voice mod try to close that and see if it makes it better. We have found issues with voicemod creating a robotic sound effect even when not on

got same launchpad, Any ideas to unlink buttons? It's like, when you press a pad, it's linked to another pad (like it's the same button) that halves the buttons i got on launchpad

Yea that's weird...did you try a different USB cord with it...sometimes then things can be a pain

@@ClarkeAfterDark I ran out of ideas so i pressed random buttons on pad, there's one that says: "Custom" that makes every buttom be singular. If that helps to anyone :D

Make sure your drivers are up to date and installed. I also had to plug it into a different USB port if it acted weird at all.

You can add a randomizer utility then a drum rack with sounds. In theory that should work

Heyy love this program after 5 minutes only, but do you know a way for it to cut of its sound when you press it again? Now it just plays over itself again, but I want it to cut off

Unfortunately I don't think you can. The only thing I have seen is having an all stop button. Would be great if there was a menu item to stop and start instead of always replay

I just found out that, this only plays the sound, but if you are on discord or so, people is not able to listen to this sounds cause it's not sending the audio through your mic like voicemod does. Weird that has not an option to change it

It worked initially for me, but now it keeps either crashing or being delayed and (sometimes) flashing a red light for some reason :( I've been trying to program sounds from a song of mine for days, and I've wasted so many hours on it, and it's really upsetting me :(

That's just because it's not a signed program by a developer. It's a small project that one person works on and it accesses system files for the sounds to play and the functionality of it. But you get that a lot of times with smaller programs the virus protection can't figure out what it is so it flags it as potentially harmful

Yea it's going to pop up with any open source type programs. It's because it's not licensed by someone...which is what makes it free to use.
