I use microfiber towels on my Swiffer mop...having kids and doggies, I tend to dry mop a few times each day. Amazingly, it only takes me a few minutes each time to do the entire house! When I attach my towel, I only attach one side to the sweeper and leave the other side (the rear side) to trail behind as I move the sweeper across the floor...looks like my sweeper has a little superhero cleaning cape on.😉😁 It helps to catch any stray dog hairs, pieces of grass or lint, etc. I feel that it works even better that way because having that extra amount of towel-to-floor surface area catches even more of the dirt and debris. 😊👍

This hack works like a charm and also saves to much $$ not having to buy dusting pads. I have also used a mircofiber slipper on my Swiffer. The slipper fits perfectly around the base and doesn't fall off.

Amitha Fernando thank you. I am so glad you enjoyed the video. To remove the fur from the microfiber you can try shaking it off outside or rinse the cloth before putting it into the laundry. Hopefully that will work to take off the excess fur during the wash cycle.

You’re welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I personally use microfiber on my cabinets. The cloth is soft and does a great job. I haven’t polished furniture but I have dusted my furniture using a very lightly damped or dry microfiber cloth. Microfiber works great polishing stainless steel appliances.

How often should I dust 😄 I have a cleaner that comes once every 2 weeks… she’s not the best but my place is overall clean… she did leave marks on my windows which sucks lol I’ll go over it with a microfibre cloth tomorrow. Also I still see dust particles on my mirrors and bedside tables/lamps that I go over. I usually wipe my bedside tables and bedhead and vacuume in between when she isn’t cleaning. Great video. I bought some new microfibre cloths on eBay hippie they’re good.

I would like to say dust everyday but I definitely do not follow that method lol. I try to dust at least once a week. I use either a damp or dry microfiber cloth to dust all hard surfaces.

I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I do not personally have a fabric headboard but the trick I used on the couch wiping a damp microfiber cloth access the fabric could do the trick. Using quick swipes along the fabric with the mircrofiber can help attract the dust. I hope this helps.

My microfiber towels don't hold the dust any more. It seems to now spread the dust as I wipe. Any suggestions on how to remedy this? I use a gentle detergent and gentle cycle when washing the towels and I use a delicate low cycle when drying them. No dryer sheets or fabric softener.

Soak them in white vinegar. Wash in warm water no detergent. Air dry only.

The cloths I’m using are for cleaning but you can definitely find towels for your face and bod made with microfiber.

Are the dollar store microfibre cloths the same as more expensive ones?

The dollar store cloths can be a lot thinner and do not have as many square inches of microfiber. The higher end ones are really thick.

So when using the microfiber to dust, how can I clean it without washing it? What I mean is after I wipe with all the folded sides, I want to clean it and restart over. Advice?

Microfiber can be washed after use. Before washing give the cloth a good shake to remove any loose dust and wash the cloth using mild detergent on a cold or warm setting. When drying make sure to air dry or have the dryer set to the lowest temp. I hope this helps. When I'm dusting and do not want to switch out my cloth right away, I will shake it outside to remove any loose dust. Shaking it off doesn't remove all dust just the loose dust that wasn't trapped in the microfiber. But it's always good to use a fresh cloth for the best results.

My boyfriend has tons of these and I literally could NOT figure out how to use them. It’s like they repelled any liquid they came in contact with. I bet it’s from the fabric softener. Any suggestions on how to fix them?

I'm not 100% sure if the result of using fabric softener can be reversed once inside the cloth fibres. Fabric softeners clog the fibres with oils resulting in the cloth to be not as effective the time you use it. Also, the eletrostatic charge is lost as well which takes alway the effectiveness to grab onto dust and debris.

I sprayed a combo of vinegar and water on the glass doors. The vinegar can help breakdown any tough grime.

I usually use a dry microfibre to dust. Microfibre is great at locking in and trapping dust because of the small fibres in the cloth.
