In your next microfiber towel video, can you say something about how you know when it’s time to get rid of them? Maybe show some examples of what they look like when they are no longer performing up to your standards, how long does each type typically last? I migrate the “good” ones to dirty duty then toss them but I’m wondering if I hang on to them too long!

Pan, thank you very much! I really liked the illustration you used to demonstrate how polyester and polyamide microfibers work! The example of an open hand followed by a closed hand after exposure of the microfiber to heat was ingenious. I liked the way you described microfibers as synthetic polymer filaments! It made clear the role of polyester and polyamide in the biomechanical properties of microfiber (strength, support, softness and hydrophilicity). Congratulations, Pan. "You're the man!!" I would say that 95 to 99% of the microfibers I have are from The Rag Company. I have 5 categories I use: drying, paint worthy, coating, general-purpose and grunge. k. As my towels get worn, they go from paint worthy to general-purpose (interior cleaning, etc.). when they get dirty, they go into the grunge bin. When they get really dirty they get tossed. Coating towels are discarded after use. I use P&S Rags to Riches to wash my towels and dry them on the delicate setting of the dryer.

Watched someone online use a 5 gallon bucket with a grid on the bottom. Threw in towels to be cleaned and let them soak then used a 2nd inverted grid on top of towels like a mini washing machine. I personally would dry my towels in a dryer with no heat to flush them up a bit.

Another awesome video. All of my microfiber towels that I have are from your past videos. I really like the Eagle brand towels. One thing that learned from you is that when drying your vehicle, if you soak and then wring out an Eagle 500 towel, it will pick up lots of water without streaking. Hey Pan, another great video 👍. Loved the one that you did just on cleaning microfiber towels. My go too for microfiber is "detail popo" from Carzilla. A big 100x65 1200 GSM 70/30 blend drying towel, and 16x16 350gsm, 16x16 500gsm, and 16x16 320gsm pearl weave for glass and leveling. They are made in S Korea and all 70/30 blend. They seem too work well(not like the cheap Simonize or Kirkland brands in multi packs. Which I do buy for engin work/shop towels and throw them after heavily soiled). 3D towel kleen for soap great price in a gallon size 35$ CND. Will try the P&S rags to riches next time to compare it as 43$ CND a gallon isn't bad either. Will also try an order of the rag company towels as lots keep mentioning them as the go too for microfiber towels 👍

Most of my towels are from The Rag Company. My favorite is the Eagle Edgeless 500. My general purpose towel is by Cobra, called Super Plush. It's a 600 gsm Korean made 75/25 blend. When it comes to glass, I use The Rag Company diamond weave and their FTW twisted loop towel. The waffle weave towels can leave what I call micro lint on glass. When microfiber is catching and dragging on clean glass, the fibers break off in extremely small pieces, leaving an ultra fine "lint" behind.

Awesome video, I've been using the eagle edge less 500 for buffing off onr and on the 1st pass of drying it leaves a trail of lint behind but usually gets picked back up on the 2nd pass when paint is about dry and was wondering if you can reccomend a good microfiber for buffing onr wash because I'm washing these microfibers correctly and still keep linting

Hi Pan. Thanks for the recommendation of Rag Co. Waffle Weave & Diamond Weave towels. These have made glass cleaning so easy. I especially find them useful for large areas like patio doors and casement windows. This has really cut down the time I spend cleaning windows on both the cars and house.

Griot drying towels are my absolute favorite. I got them at Advance Auto. I like the variety of rags from The Rag Company, but they take soooooooo long to ship anything. I avoid them just for that reason.

Griot’s towels are IMO on par or better than TRC, though arguably a bit pricier. Their ultra plush 620 GSM is one of those towels that I would be devastated if wrecked, phenomenal quality. Their wrinkled glass towels are also worth mentioning, my absolute favorites for glass

I just came across it by accident I guess. I've been looking at a lot of old Lincoln town cars online that I'm looking to buy, And I ran across your channel among other detailers. But your channel is definitely the best, You know your stuff, And you've got a great delivery, And a great presence on camera. You got a good voice too, Easy to listen to, Not annoying like some of these other people. Not gonna mention any names though. Anyway thanks again for your great information have yourself a great day!

Pan as a beginner detailer I bought microfiber towels at Walmart they are called Platinum Series microfiber towels. They have different towels for different things. They may not be good towels. But I've used them on the Camry. They made the Camry shine like glass. They made the old paint pop. Pan they may not be towels for you because you are a Professional detailer but they are for me. You also know I'm a Meguiar's fan. I did buy detailing brushes from Fox Clean they are synthetic brushes. They were a package of 3 brushes. I need to wash and wax the car before cold weather sets in for good here where I live. Anyways I liked this video on the different microfiber towels I'm learning. Thanks Pan.
