How to use Microsoft Whiteboard - 2022 Beginners Tutorial

In this video tutorial, I will show you how to use the NEW Microsoft Whiteboard for beginners. Microsoft Whiteboard is one of my favorite whiteboard apps. You can access it for free with a Microsoft account and if you have a Microsoft 365 subscription you will even get more access with it. Quickly insert Word, Powerpoint, or PDFs file onto the whiteboard and mark them up. Want to work collaboratively? No problem, turn on sharing and send the link. Work online with Microsoft Whiteboard or download the app for a few more features. If you are a Microsoft Teams user add Microsoft Whiteboard to your team as a new tab.

This is fast becoming my favourite medium for screen teaching. Microsoft looks like they nailed this... before i was using the same features in heavy progs like OneNote or PowerPoint... Great tutorial learned things in the first two minutes.

Great intro to MS WB in Teams! Thank you very much! Is there a way to place an image or text in the WB but keep Always showing: Example- I want to put instructions on Team usage: and I want it to always be positioned in the lower right corner of the viewing pane. So users always can see the instructions, but can navigate freely all over the WB canvas.

Thank you for an awesome video! Do you know of a way to make the background color persist every time you open a new whiteboard? Every time I start a new whiteboard, I have to go in and change the background settings. It's kind of annoying. Thanks!

Thanks for this tutorial. You've done a great job. I on the other hand am a little stuck. When I try to insert a pdf into Whiteboard on my Surface Pro 7, I don't get the "insert 2 of 20" button at the bottom. It doesn't matter if I select individual pages or use the select all box. I get nothing so my document never gets inserted. Any help is appreciated.

its very useful and fantastic as usually .but I have notes if I can ? for us as Arab country not native English .the speech is good . but we found sometimes in the middle and different parts from videos . little fast we cant focused good and we didn't like to reduce speed .for more nature .sorry for interrupt you Mr. Jamie

@@monah2030 I teach computer science in an elementary school. When I started I used MS Windows, primarily. Now, at school, I use mostly Chromebooks. I learn by reading relevant books during leisure and watching channels like Jamie's. I learn the most by doing. I learn something new every day. I've also learned that others are happy to share how they do things differently.

Does anyone has problems with the hand tool for moving around the board and the ink tool to write? I can't use it properly because with windows ink activated, the hand tool changes aromatically to the ink one whenever the pencil is close to the Wacom board that I use

At 7:50 if you write a sentence and want to change the color of just one word in it; it's not doable. For some reason, it changes the color of the whole text inside that particular text box. This is stupid. Also, they removed the Ruler, then brought it back, and now it's "coming soon". I mean WTF?! Any idea how to change the color of just one word in a sentence? Thanks.

the problem with this whiteboard is how it works with tablet and stylus, it even doesnt detect the pinch operation with the stylus so you have to move the mouse every time .

Strange thing is that the LISTS functions - List preview and List Follow-up (which are under +) are now absent. I used to have these in prior release .. and it's shown in your video. Microsoft support pages for Whiteboard are not really helpful (can't event find the community).
