yeah I'm using the snaps too, love em. I have to crimp the top eyelet as there is sometimes a gap but worth it. I just keep a small box of jigs in my pocket and leave the tackle box on shore when wading.

Your videos are awesome. It would be cool to make a list of the best trout fish attractants and to test them out against each other. I’m sure people have some secret dips they use. I’ll share one for you all. Use Cod liver oil and dip your live worms or your mice tails in it.

Anutha great vid Rob.😀👍 It's been a "minute" since I've been to Hesperia lake...do they do catch and release there? Or is it like I just found out about at the "mudhole," catch and keep?🤔 Either way keep these vidz comin my friend. Peace ✌😎
@SeaSpankerOutdoors5 ай бұрын
Its very similar rules to the mudhole. Its catch and keep and they come by at different times of the day to keep track of your fish count. That said Ive never seem anyone busted for releasing a fish here snd there as long as its in good condition

What brand tube hooks are those? I am looking for sharp (chemically or lazer sharpened) and strong ones. I currently am using the gamakatsu tube hooks but they seem a little long extending farther down the tentacles than the hooks you have.
@SeaSpankerOutdoors5 ай бұрын
Those are owner hooks. I also have some with the gamakastu hooks as well. To be honest I haven’t had an issue with either as far as the jigs go. I remember a big trout straightened an owner mosquito hook on me once but I just figured it was a defective hook
@TghtLin5 ай бұрын
Ok thanks I can't find them in Owner Hooks... guessing someone custom pouring them for ya. But good to here my Gamakatsu tube jighead hooks will work even though they seem to slightly hinder the movement of the tentacles!

Thanks for the inside tips! Another great vid. My I inquired about those high-profile rod holders. Where can I find one?
@SeaSpankerOutdoors5 ай бұрын
Honestly I will need to look into it. 2 of them were old and given to me. I just repainted them. 2 others I bought from a guy that was walking around Hesperia lake selling them and I didn’t get his contact info. Ill look into it and see if I can find someone that is currently making them and put it out there.

Awesome video bro I been losing more fish then I am catching lately I us a number 4 hook what am I doing wrong stay fishy Redmond OREGON
@SeaSpankerOutdoors5 ай бұрын
I guess it would depend on what your doing with that hook. If your using a size 4 hook for dropshot for instance thats a bit big for trout and may be why your loosing fish. I typically use a size 8 and sometimes a size 10.

I wonder if a double mini jig would work? Works for spotties in the bay 🤷🏻♂️🤔
@SeaSpankerOutdoors5 ай бұрын
Im not sure but anything is possible. I dont have alot of experience fishing for spotties but I would think a single 4” super tube would work better than a double rig given how hard they fight but who knows

I've tried it a few times. Using the hookup baits setup. I have caught a few fish on it, but like using the solo jig setup better.
