I probably should not be here. I already know English. I just got this bright idea at 3 am that if I understood my own language better it would help me improve my German. It did help though. At least NOW i know what a modal verb IS. The German instructor never tells us what it is. Maybe I should try to find a video in English about Accusative and Dative cases, although I mastered English without ever hearing those words and didn't know what they were until I started learning German.

@@VickiBee does English have "acusative" and "dative" cases??
@VickiBee3 жыл бұрын
@@ncoaAAAA Not really, but they have sentences with direct objects in them (accusative cane) and sentences with both a direct object and an indirect object. The indirect object needs the word 'to' in English but my native German husband hardly ever remembers it. Neither does my German teacher and she knows advanced English.

Hi, Wes and Ioana! I've just eaten dinner, two thin slices of bread, butter, salami and the green part of green onions. I left the onions still in the ground because there are more greens on it. I love this combination together. Tomorrow is going to be a long day and probably I will not be able to watch any of your lesson because I have two appointments but I plan to go to two more places excluding my appointments. It means 3-4 hours driving and parking. I just go into a fast food restaurant like Burger King or some Chinese Food. Or some seefood but it is more expensive. And I should put some diesel into my car. I could do it right in the morning. At least I would be over on it quckly.

If I had begun to learn English in my childhood I would be more proficient today. My English course as a second language at School was not that good.
