For a lot of people every DLSS option in the app is still greyed out so how about you go over that issue. Saying to update the lastest drivers and reinstalling the app, and whatever other nonsense people say to do has already been done multiple times and despite all that, every DLSS option is still unsupported for every game, including the ones that support it.

Nvidia app doeant even recognize like half of my games when i scan. Then theres games with native dlss4 and games that support override. But some of the native games have override options? Im still so lost in all of this

How to make sure you run the specific version of DLSS? Is there a way to show it in the overlay?

The easiest way is to download Dlss Swapper version 1.1.4, go to settings and in the Dlss Developer Options section and select "Enable for all DLSS DLLs". In this case, you will see a bar with information about the dlss version and preset in all games.

Well i would say this Nvidia overriding feature is kinda buggy and unintuitive somehow (not to mention only a few of games are supported), so dlss swapper is still the first go for me

This DLSS Override feature for the Nvidia App is currently only supported on a very small collection of games. So the majority of your games won't be supported. You'll have to use Nvidia Profile Inspector and DLSS Swapper to force DLSS 4 in most of your games.

Am I the only one who loses 10-20 fps after applying new dlss? Also in Star Wars Jedi Survivor sound has some scratching noise and stability issues. What was that fuss about DLSS4 on older gpus?

You have to drop your dlss preset settings. They say that now dlss performance is even better than old dlss quality. So, try balance for example.

RTX 4060ti. Updated. Everything is working. All sliders are active. The preset is the latest, DLAA mode is 100%. The quality is just amazing, of course. Equivalent to native or even better. This is now the best smoothing available. I tested it on one game, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. I don't have any others with DLSS support for the games themselves. Now, for the sake of the test, you need to download and watch something. In some places, there is a loss of fps of 2-5 frames compared to 3.8, but the quality was not even close, so it's worth it, and even in performance mode, the quality is better than in quality mode in DLSS 3.8. No matter what anyone said or how they tried, they did a great job, thanks to them for these functions on the previous generation.

Did you swap dlss .dll files for DLAA to work? I have some live-service games that have DLSS upsampling, their anticheat might be angried by any file swap i guess.

@@r.d.6290 No, I haven't changed it. DLAA mode is set in the application settings in the DLSS Super Resolution section.

For tarkov it says "support not detected" ? Its not saying " not supported like other games and i can click support not detected for super resolution and set it to last and hit apply then it changes to use different settings like it does every time you set it.

for me for BF2024 when i change this setting and using DLSS its very blurry, before i was playing without DLSS and its fine But for RDR2 its sharpener with DLSS now than even without DLSS

No, a game needs to have DLSS support in general. If a game doesn't have *ANY* DLSS support, then nothing you can do about it with these new Nvidia App/driver updates.

Click on the three dots in the list of programs in Nvidia App and click "Refresh". This will fix the problem.

So I installed the new driver with the latest version of th NVIDIA app, and every game I played was a stuttering mess in my 4090 FE and 7800x3D, so I just reverted back to the previous December 5th driver and everything went back to normal. Games I tried, Doom Eternal, cyberpunk, Alan Wake II, Hogwarts Legacy. All were the same stuttery mess.

Mostly the games will need support for it. Some games have it locked down so anti-cheat doesn't flag it. Nvidia app may get around it with global support later.

cyberpunk is def. supported. You may have to reinstall the nvidia app or hit the refresh button if you haven't done that.

@@alistar3051 Then go to nvidia's website and manually search for the lastest driver for your card, and latest Nvidia app manually. Both are updated on their site. If you don't have an RTX card then none of this will work in case you are on older card.

No, if the app and game are allowing override to happen and you choose "latest" preset" you are good to go. No swapping is needed.

me just rtx 4060 with 1080p 100hz monitor, after installing new drivers, Indiana Jones hit 100fps straight away (medium setting). Higher setting game will crash ( exceeding vram). Still, medium setting is good for me.
