I'll give this a try on DCS tonight. DLSS previously gave DCS some horrendous ghosting and made the scenery and anything at any distance look hazy, unsharp and difficult to make out. DLAA with no DLSS upsampling has been the sharpest and best for performance so far for me running DCS on a Pimax CL and 4080S. Usually 50-60 fps and quite smooth, depending on single player or multilayer missions. Hoping for some some vast improvements 🤞🏻.

DLSS has really been a life saver with my 2070. Im amazed that i can run it so well, even better than msfs2020! DLSS 4 really made things much sharper and less ghosting occurs too. I have a trick for the rtx2070 and my friend with a 3070 does the same, that is to launch the oculus tray tool and put it to 45hz forced and then back to auto, this removes the massive stutter/lag i have.

I was unable to start msfs2020 after the new driver.. CTD half way loading the menu. Rolled back to last driver and uninstalled nvidia app. Then Ok...

No leave it as it is but update your video drivers to the new one that came out today. As far as I'm aware MSFS 2020 and 2024 despite being listed as day one DLSS 4 titles are still on 3.7.XX IRC 'out of the box'. Just ran 2020 and there was no update either.

Thanks Steve, have to agree this works exceptionally well. You should try the good old Quest 3 with VD/VDXR/SSW and DLSS Balanced. Honestly I'm blown away. I will say though some clouds have some artifacting (pretty much gone with DLSS DLAA though) and fast moving planes in the sky but in general terms is an incredible improvement and looks amazing even in a Quest 3!

310.xx is the version of the file, doesn't usually line up with the official DLSS "number"

As far as I understand we need to revert back to the original MSFS DLSS version and apply the DLSS 4 override directly from the NV App. No need to tweak anything now. Correct?

I have settled comfortably into DLAA. I have the PCL and 4090. TAA mode gives me a loss of performance and DLSS quality takes, well a quality hit - more fuzzy. Right now things are pretty clear. I am wondering if I can get any benefit's from DLSS 4 running in DLAA ?

That 310.1 is DLSS 4. It confirms this in the readme notes for that latest version of DLSS Swapper (as 310.1 is the version of the DLL for DLSS 4)

Ahh sorry. Probably because I've talked about this so much in the past. The difference depends on the quality settings, but in average with great clarity (using preset J transformer model), TAA 25fps - 38-45fps DLSS using msfs2024 at full native resolution in PCL.

I am not playing VR flight sims but I had to revert back to previous drivers I used before because performance on 4070 was noticabke worse in VR games I tried and compared. First time I see such downgrade after installing new drivers, maybe DLSS4 manages to smooth out things because of lower rendering resolution on that particular title.

The new nvidia driver will crash to black screen with Virtual desktop as soon as you are about to go into Cockpit in VR.resolved by reinstalling driver and not going into VR until on runway and taking off.

Just watched this vid and to be honest I just didn’t understand half of it. Supersampling, upscaling, motion reprodjection, super resolution upscaling and transformer model? I’ve just installed the latest driver and I can’t see any difference in performance or sharpness with my quest 3 in msfs2020, virtual desktop, 7800x3d 4070 ti super 64gb system. Best I can get it to run is DLSS balanced mode. Anything higher than that the latency is in the 90,s and game latency in the mid 20,s so it just becomes a stutter fest. This is with sim settings turned down. What we need is a back to basics setup guide. Nvidia global settings and sim settings. It seems I’ve tried all manner of settings, watched endless YT vids like this one but to no avail.

difficult to say, as the framegen is purely for 2d flying, SSW seems good to me, but the warping is still an issue. im sure nvidias framegen will surpass anything third party. ut you never knowm

This is sick and I'm excited to try it. I updated my Nvidia App and downloaded the driver's from today. I see the override toggles but it says "unsupported." Not sure if it's because I'm running the PC GamePass version of the game, or it hasn't hit the 30 series yet.

Just delete NVIDIA App and reinstall it - should work afterwards. I had the same Problem and this solved it for me

@@Paulie8K yes, „Latest“ should be the official way to go. BUT: you will need the latest DLSS DLL files (Version 310.2.1.0) because the NVIDIA App does not replace these in the MSFS Games folder. As I can tell from a few Minutes ago, DLSS Swapper is not updated yet, so for now you need to manually Download and replace the DLLs in order to use Preset K or „Latest“

I ran the modded dlss last night upscaled in open XR tool kit to 3500x??? Per eye with my quest 3 and it ran butter smooth in 90hz with ASW using link wire well better in fs2020 not so well in fs2024 My specs 9800x3d 64gb 4090

I took it from the DLSS 4 marketing that it was going to work on all games that had DLSS! Turns out it's not and is limited to games nVidia allow. That's bad and annoying especially when you can swap dll files yourself on games nVidia doesn't allow. So why does nVidia block so many games?

Mmmm!! DLSS 4 is great but the new driver is garbage compared to 566.12 with the manual adjustments to Profile J and DLSS swapper you introduced about a week ago. The new driver is decidedly blurred in comparison inside and outside the cockpit. I think Profile J probably uses a lower level of upscale than the new driver does unless there's something else they've change with the new release. The only thing that does help on the new driver is motion blur when changing altitude settings in a glass cockpit etc but definitely not worth the cost in clarity. Sadly the Nvidia Profile Inspector no longer works with the new driver to try and put the Profile J back. For those who didn't try the manual preview version, Steve did an excellent video on this last week and from memory, pretty sure he included a guide on how to do it.
