Can't you do all this with the mixer send/returns? Is there a sonic difference?
@sinewaymusic2 жыл бұрын
I believe that's identical. The only difference is that you have an infinite number of parallel channels and only 8 sends. Another benefit of parallel tracks is you can solo them. A benefit of send channels is that any number of tracks can share the same send.

I saw this tutorial a few days ago, really liked it, and was curious about something. Is is possible, when creating parallel channels further down the effects chain, to have those effects stack up? For example, I have a bassline and created a parallel channel with a delay and mixed it in. I want to add a chorus to the mix to give it some more presence but even though the chorus channel is a parallel created from the delay line, there is no delay in the chorus signal. Would this be a situation where i'd need to put both effects in the same channel or route the cables differently on the back?
@ontheruntonowhere Жыл бұрын
The short answer is no. You can't stack effects because each parallel channel uses the OG dry signal. You'll need to add the chorus after the delay on the same parallel channel.
