Very nice video, thank you! We have a 30 year old oak kitchen. Now it has this grayish color and I was wondering which product/tools to use to restore it a bit and give it a protective stain with minimum color change, as wife loves the color :)

Great Video, How do you think Maple would look with Rubio monocoat Walnut color, Would it resemble Walnut would? This is for maple dining table slab, live edge..

I’ve not really used a lot of maple. The walnut colour on lighter woods can look a little “dirty” if you join the Rubio monocoat users group on Facebook- there will be someone on there that knows possibly

You got anny video with smoked oak? I finished my stairs with smoked oak, but we think its too yellow and to dark.. what can we do about it

Once it’s on, the only way is to sand it back and re apply a different finish to it. As Rubio bonds with the actual fibres. Always best to do some test pieces first if your unsure on the colour it will give

Thank you the pre color needs some sanding it pops the grain even if you water pop it before hand.

Yes- that’s why I say to de nib it with the red pad 👍 (the red pads are p400) The pre colours and pre age are all water based

Hi- I didn’t want to directly say about my channel on someone’s post. No, so you use a pre colour or pre age, then apply a oip plus 2c over the top after 24 hours. @@cubitme if you want to use pre colour, apply and then dry, then the oil 2c. If you want to use just oil 2c, just use that direct on the ply. There’s several how to use Rubio products on this channel

Yes, you need to sand to p120, then clean with cleaner first.

Hi, I did this on pine as a sample- but Rubio works very well on all woods. Natural, mud light, mist 5% or cotton white are my favourites on oak
