If I were to need this for the side straps- is the process the same? Thanks

Hatch hugger procedure for installation is going to be the same whether it is the top, side or lower hooks being replaced. The only difference that is made is of course where the hatch huggers will be placed into the vehicle.

@@SarisOfficial That's the question I have. So if you have to replace the side straps, you don't fish the strap through the top of the trunk, but along the side?

I put them on the sides coming out of the trunk where I think the side hooks would go. It was hard to close the lid with the straps in the right place, but I think that's going to work. I also made the mistake of removing the straps from inside the tube thinking they came that way just for shipping! Doh. Had to thread them back through again lol. We shall see how it holds up with the first bike this afternoon

@@kvnsmooth Hahha sadly my 2017 honda civic has the lights on the side... I might have to try it though. I just feel like my car was not made for any bike... I might need to move the top bar higher, but didn't want it on the glass... What kind of car ya got?
