INTERESTING!!!! I see exactly what you are talking about but I've purchased two and they both worked. That is quite confusing. I'm going to pin this comment and look into it. Maybe there was an update and its no longer usable. Let the experiments begin. I'll report back. If anyone else has been trying, also let us know in this comment thread.

I have an iPhone 13 and Shure MV7 with a Shure recommended cable. However, I just don't see the lights turned on as I plug the cable on to my iPhone. It's really frustrating. Do you have any idea? Thanks very much for this video.

When I connect Shure MV7 to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, it only records a crackling noise. It doesn't record the real audio. How to get rid of that noise and record normally when Shure MV7 is connected to an iPhone? I've used the correct cable and they're properly connected. When I try to update the firmware on Motiv app, it just gives an error. I also tested with a different microphone and it works perfectly with the iPhone so there's some issue with the Shure connection.

If there’s an error in Motiv I would reach out to Shure about it - that sounds like a bigger issue

just learned this isn't possible with the Osmo Mobile 3 but it IS possible with the Osmo Pocket 2 and 3 (per DJI support) and then you can use the lightning port of the phone to plug in a mic@@marieloumandl

Other people have been saying the same - I recommend testing in an app like RØDE Capture or shure Motiv to see if it’s actually connected or not. Are you using the same cable for both?

Is it a cable specifically for microphones? I learned at some point that some cables are just for power and not to transmit info. If it is the cable I suggested, our next bet is to plug the mic into something else like your computer to make sure it isn’t a problem with the mic. If it works, next step is to contact shure
