there must be an explanation of the procedure for carrying DJI drones overseas clearly (in the cabin or baggage), from the DJI map it is also advised whether the area is safe or not. many have used the DJI drone, so it can be updated. thank you

Interesting, I've had mine for 4 days and it also appears to lose signal both video and controller, at about 480m, this is at the beach with unobstructed line of site for 15kms in every direction

Just got my DJI Mavic Air. Took it for its madden voyage yesterday. AWESOME FOOTAGE!!! But, I cannot find video of controller screen. I wanted to overlay this info onto my final video. Where is it?

I thought that is what video/audio information was being captured based on the DJI Go 4 menu selection. But, I have since discovered that you need to use a separate "screen recorder" app in order to capture that information. Thanks for the quick response. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

If you have enabled the options to save the video cache during recording and record audio with video cache, you will get the cached video and the audio recorded from the mobile device on the editor. Please check if you had enabled these options on the General Settings in DJI GO 4 app. See if this helps.

@@DJISupportGlobal Thank YOU for the clarification. I had video cache enabled, but it did not include audio. I had that disabled. I thought it would still record what was on the screen on my phone, but was unable to find any video showing this. I looked on the forum and it said most people were using a separate app to record the screen on their phone or using the new feature in iOS on Apple devices. I will try this again with new settings enabled tomorrow. Gives me ANOTHER reason to fly my drone!!!

Hi! i have some questions 1) will there be a tendency the drone will fly away when using smartcapture w/out RC? 2) do we have to compass calibrate everytime we go from place to place using smartcapture? 3) can I handcatch my drone when in smartcapture because there might be rough surfaces? and lastly if I turn the RC on while in smart mode can it be connected or cancelled smart mode. thank you sir and God Bless!

It supports using the SmartCapture without RC, if you keep flying safely and in good condition, the drone will work normally. If there is interference or compass error detected, you need to calibrate the compass, in normal cases, you can also calibrate the compass if you want to. We don't suggest hand catching the drone for the safety concern. Please wear the propeller guards when flying. You can turn on the RC and App to exist SmartCapture, switching the P-S mode back and forth will also help. When using only hand gestures to launch and have the aircraft follow you, only the "Trace" mode is available, correct? In order to switch the follow mode to "Profile" you would need your phone and the DJI go App. Or is there a way to switch it with a gesture?

I ask because it appears that you can initiate Smart Capture feature by just double clicking on the back of the Mavic Air. So with this I assume you wouldn't even need to have the phone with you. Is that correct? And if it is correct then could you simply disable the Smart Capture by double tapping the back of the Air like you did to initiate it? Thx.

@@jetmartin9501 Hello Jet, besides clicking the red X on the app, you can also toggle to Sports mode by the controller to exit. So you don't need to connect the DJI GO 4 app to exist the Smart Capture. Thank you.

I’ve tried numerous times to take off without using the iPhone or Remote Control...not having any luck. If I load DJI GO 4 and connect via WiFi, once I can see a video feed I can put my iPhone in my pocket, tap the Function button twice, hear the tone, then I’m able to launch. However, if I don’t connect via WiFi first, tapping the Function button twice I hear the tone, then the camera sweeps up and down searching for me but never lets me launch. What step am I missing to get the Mavic Air to take off with no controlling device, using only the Function button and hand gestures? Thanks in advance for any help!

hello from Dublin(Irl), i cannot connect my S7 to my Mavic....i have two different issue's to complicate thing's. The first is that when i enter wifi setting's on my device there is no sign of the Mavic in the list of available network's...even when in network search mode. Secondly...when i attempt to connect by reading the bar code on the side of the Drone...does not work no matter what angle i try. i cannot understand this issue as the app seem's to to work seamlessly when connected to the controller.

Hi there, for the WiFi issue, do you refer to connect the aircraft with the mobile device only? If yes, please press and hold the Function button on the aircraft for four seconds until you hear a double beep, then check whether the WiFi can be searched.

Hi Kadek, for the range issue, we have some suggestions for you to try. First, as you mentioned that it happened in many areas, please help to confirm if you are in 2.4GHz or 5.8GHz, you can check the interference of the current channel, choose a channel with less interference. Please also make sure the remote controller’s antennas are positioned parallel to and are pointed towards the aircraft, you can refer to the tutorial at kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmiwan2qm7uqh6c. Update your drone and RC to the latest version. Still, use a mobile device with a strong performance. If the issue persists, you may need to send the drone in for diagnosis. hi DJI thank you for replying. mine works at 5.8ghz on auto. first: you don't need to worry I always point the antenna on the remote controller correctly. second, i have phantom 3 adv and phantom 3 std, which is phantom 3 std has 5.8ghz channel, which mavic air uses 5.8ghz on auto. I always use auto. on my p3std I got the least 500m, and 750m. but this mavic air didn't reach 200m. even at the same location. and even in the open place even though I will not get 200m, before the image on screen freze, delay, and "interference warning" on the screen. I have tried with several devices: iPhone X, Samsung s9 plus, iPhone 6. But all of them are the same. third, I contacted dji support repeatedly, with various problems on this mavic air, however, I thought it was like not getting any solution from them.
