Thanks for your video! If you look at the cable management, it would make more sense to go from the stagebox first in the X32 and then in the Wing. So you would have only one CAT cable between stage and FoH. Would it still be possible in this setup that the Wing is still gain master? Thanks for your answer!

5:30 I am using the exact same setup, but i don’t get any automatic trim adjustment on the x32rack when i turn up or down the gain on the wing, why is that?

you still have to change the trim to what you need on the X32 rack, it's not automatic. having said that, if you do turn up the gain on your wing, the X32 gain will also go up but you can still adjust trim from there. hope this helps.

Great video! I'm salivating at the thought of buying a WING for my band's PA, we already run an X32 Rack, but with the addition of the WING we could have a dedicated FOH console and the X32 driving monitors (IEM's in our case)

It would be a nice upgrade! The Wing has a lot of things I wish the X32 had. If I was mixing FOH, I would prefer the Wing over the X32 if possible.

i was looking for this, since we’d be using waves on the wing and would want those plugins to make it to our in ear mix and esp our broadcasting mix (esp tune), and running another waves would be redundant

Thank you for this video Drew. I need to know, in a setup where you have two DL32’s and you need to connect an x32 on stage to a wing at FOH, how do you get all 48 channels to your x32 on stage if all your inputs are coming from the AES50 A port.

Really helpful! I currently run an Wing at FOH and a X32 Rack for monitors. We have an X32 that we are not using so I have been debating on the ability to set it up as a separate broadcast mix and this will help a ton. I do have one question though, could I use the X32 inputs as a way to have more local in's for my wing?

Currently, in our church, we use the X32 together with the SD16 and SD8, but this setup is already limiting us. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, we can’t afford a full-size Wing. I’m considering a “hybrid” solution - is it possible to use the Wing Rack as our main mixing console (EQ, compressors, effects, IEMs, etc.) while using the X32 as a control surface for the faders wing rack ? In the future, when we buy a full-size Wing, the Rack could serve as a stage box. Our team consists of a drummer, a guitarist, a pianist, and seven vocalists. Additionally, everyone would like to have stereo IEMs.

Thanks for the video, Drew! I have one question. We have a Wing console for FOH and another Wing console for Broadcast. Unfortunately, our Broadcast Wing is downstairs and our Broadcast Computer is, by necessity due to space, upstairs next to our FOH Wing. Is it possible to grab the Broadcast Wing mix output off of Aes50c on the FOH Wing? Similar to what you did with talkback from the X32 to the Wing?

I'm having an issue in attempting something similar, I have an x32 connected to a Wing-BK, I have a green light indicating there is a connection but it doesn't display "WING" on the connected port. I can send signals to the x32 from the Wing but I can't get signals back to the Wing and I can't control the preamps on the x32 through the HA remote. I'm using a working STP Cat 5e cable, and the firmware on the Wing is 3.05 and on the x32 is 4.13, I have tried with the downgrading the firmware on the Wing to the 3.02 and on the x32 to the 4.09.

Having the exact same problem. Wing Rack (FW 3.0.5-4) currently doesn't "fully" talk to X32R nor X32 Compact (both FW 4.13). AES50 locking works (Port indicators stay yellow on Wing), sending signals via AES50 works also, but no preamp remote control in either direction.

Here's a setup I may be doing soon. Very similar to yours but slightly different. Wing at FOH (8 monitor sends ran from here also) (this replaces an existing X32) X32 Rack in Broadcast 2 - DL32's on stage ( or 1 DL32 and 1 DL16) I was going to run AES50 like this AES50A to first DL AES50B to second DL AES50C to the X32 Rack in broadcast We will soon need more channels then the X32 can offer so will probably have to end up sending some buses to the X32 Rack such as drum mix, key mix, etc. (i do this now on some installs where we're using the P16's. ex: Kick, Snare, Drum Mix, bass, etc. when we start using more channels then the X32 can handle. Any thoughts on this would be great, but here's my main question... If at some point they decide to add another wing or the wing rack to the mix for monitor world, how would i do this since i will be out of AES50 ports? A bit more info that might be helpful. I will not be using any stereo channels, only mono. Can i cascade the DL snakes? Thanks for your videos Drew, Jimmy

Whenever I want to change the eq of an instrument channel (to make it sound different on the master audio) the same changes can be heard on the musician's monitoring system (mix bus). Is there a way that I can eq the instrument's sound for master and monitoring separately? If not, can I somehow manage my sends so that the instrument's eq tweaks don't translate to the mix bus audio? Edit: I'm talking about x32

Hi Drew, great video! I was wondering if when using the Behringer Wing I could use a DL32 in AES-A then a DL32 in AES-B and then a DL16 in AES-C? To me this would make sense as the Wing has 48 stereo sources so I could need 96 inputs? How many outputs can the Wing do using the DL32 and DL16 stageboxes? That is 40 XLR outputs total available, could I run all of those if I wanted to? And the P16 outs could still be used as any of the AES A/B/C - Outputs 33-48? Thanks a lot, Dan :)

I like everything about this video but, what if I want to control gain from monitoring desk? That way I can only take one cable running to FOH instead of two. We are mobile church and less cable runs the better.

You could, however the benefit of driving it through the Wing is if you were tapping into the FOH inputs or if you had multiple stage boxes. But you could absolutely use an AES50 connection to both consoles off of say a DL32 or an S32.

I'm looking to run a Pair of M32 mixers, one for FOH, one at monitors. I would like to just plug EVERYTHING into the monitor desk. I typically run FOH from a tablet... However, I've got a national act that wants a desk out front. I'd like to just connect the two desks with a Cat6, and quite frankly, just have the FOH control the mains, and have the monitor engineer take care of the monitors. I've connected the desks, to test this out, but the changes made on the FOH desk aren't changing the outputs on the monitor desk. I feel like I've tried everything... Clocks are set correctly, and the desks are recognizing each other... But the monitor desk isn't changing when I make changes on the FOH desk. Also... The channel strip names and colors aren't matching. Shouldn't they match up when you connect these desks together? I basically want the FOH desk to simply act in the same way as a tablet does when I mix out front with a tablet. When I camhange anything from the tablet, it changes on the monitor board as well. Am I don't something wrong... Or do I have a faulty board?
