I'm Thai and I'm so proud that, as the foreigners, you have thoroughly known how to use the BTS skytrain system even it's not quite good for Thais at some point. For example, you have to use only coins to buy the ticket. For most Thais, it's really annoying. And we have to wait for years until the new stations will be open. By the way, I appreciate the way you pronounce the name of each station correctly. It's very difficult for most foreigners to do that.

You forgot to mention the rabid card. This is card you can top-Up with money and can pay your trip touch free. It is not much cheaper but it saves time at the rush hours when you there are long cues at the ticket machine.

That would be the rabbit card, super cheap and much faster through the turnstiles, can only top up at the booth, but they are on every station!

Since most people (tourists) are in Bangkok for more than a day better to purchase a Rabbit card. It's a e-money service for travel on BTS or other mass transit networks. The Rabbit cards are available at all BTS ticket offices. No deposit is required. Rabbit cards can be obtained for 200 Baht (Each), which include 100 Baht issuing fee and 100 Baht initial stored value and can be used as e-payment at retailers that accept it. Saves you time lining up at the ticket machine during peak hours to purchase a one way ticket.

One question, according to Google Maps, I need to get off at Siam just like you did in the video and take the skytrain in direction to Bang Wa. Do I need to buy another ticket or something? My initial station was Suvarnabhumi airport.

Hi Surf! If you travel by BTS, and interchange at Siam, you DONT need another ticket. But, if you travel from the airport, you will have to use the Airport Rail link first. This is a separate ticket. have a look at our Airport Rail link video!

Hi Safraz, the BTS Does not go to Chinatown or the Sampeng Market. But, they did add the MRT line,so you can interchange trains at SILOM / Sala Deang.

Hi Lay Ho! Yes there is! If you're a regular in Bangkok, look into buying a Rabbit Card. You can put money on the card, and then use the card to get in! Much more time sufficient!

Hi Sathyavelu, yes you can use both lines with any BTS pass. One-Day Pass 140 Baht 1. Valid for unlimited rides on the date of issue or registration only. 2. Non-refundable 3. Available at all BTS Ticket Offices. Hope this helps :)

Hi, Thanks for the video. I planned to visit Bangkok next month. I'll stay at DD House in Pratunam. Can I take BTS from DD House to Siam Park City and SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World? Thnanks

Siam Park can't be reached by BTS train... It is almost 30 kilometres to the eastern side of Bangkok from Pratunam.. Only by taxi or the cheapest way by bus. But it will take you about 2 hours from Pratunam.. But I recommend that you take the Sarn Sap boat service which is just close at Pratunam. For 19 baht from Pratunam to the last pier at Wat Sriboobruang temple will take you just an hour with no traffic problem. Walk to the street outside, through a bridge spanning across the canal. Then take bus from the other side of the road and from here u can choose to further your travel to Siam Park by taxi. That will cost less than 5 US dollars. Or if you take bus it will be only 8 baht for warm bus to arrive at the park. Bus No 71 with red and cream colour. The 71 bus will end at its depot at Siam Park. Or bus 168 which is a cool bus also goes to the park. But you must catch the bus at the Victory Monument instead which is not far from Pratunam. The bus fare for cool bus is higher. There are lots of buses to the monument from Pratunam... Cheeers .. Enjoy Bangkok.

There are 2 options: Take the BTS to Saphan Taksin, and then take the Chao Phraya Express boat. (Check out our video on how to use that) Or take a taxi from Ratchatewi station. (BTS)
