I LOVE my Beartooth... I carry my shelter back there all the time. So easy to deploy.. worth every penny!

Thanks for sharing this one which I would imagine size wise is a direct competitor to the Stone Glacier pack you showed off in the previous download. Great to see them back to back to make a quick comparison in what they do similarly and differently. May your pack in be light and your pack out be heavy. Good luck to the GoHunt Crew this upcoming season.

Question for you, which would be a more ideal/versatile pack set up to cover both light day hunts up to to 4-7 day backpack trips with meat hauling, and why: 1) Metcalf, or 2) Sawtooth 45 + Beartooth 80( bag only)

How would you load two elk quarters at once (front and back) with a light amount of gear? I'm used to the military surplus Propper ILBE pack that lacks a meat shelf and I have always just thrown the two quarters in the pack (hind quarter meat down, front quarter meat up). Thanks!

I saw your video on the Stone Glacier. It seems like the mystery ranch pack was a lot easier un buckle and to load the load shelf. What did you think?

Good day. I’d love more info, looking at a pack for day and few nights hunts, between minds of the bear claw I think it’s called and the Marshall. Believe the Marshall is slightly bigger therefore more gear and meat. Looking forward to your much needed advise.

For a 2-5 day hunt the Marshall might be over kill. The Marshall is the biggest pack that mystery ranch sells meant for extended days in the wilderness. It's very big pack. If you want something for that 2-5 day range, the Mystery Ranch Beartooth 80 and the Metcalf are two packs that might be better suited for that. Still plenty of room for gear and the same frame for packing out animals.

How or should I ask can you use the load shelf without the pack? I haven't seen much talk about that aspect of the Beartooth in particular.
@GOHUNT5 жыл бұрын
You can completely remove the pack from the frame if you'd like.

Trail how do you like the beartooth pack compare to the matcalf
@GOHUNT4 жыл бұрын
They're both great packs. Just comes down to size and organization. The Beartooth is 5,187 cubic inches and has more pockets/organization. Whereas the Metcalf is a little bit smaller at 4,333 cubic inches and has less organizational pockets. - Trail

goHUNT do you think that 330D CORDURA will hold up just as good as the 500?

Coming from a family TRIZIP packs from MR, Im confused packing my Sawtooth with a larger flap (with weight if inner pockets have items in them). It feels more of struggle to go "around" when zipping this type of pack VS TriZip just straight out "up and down" direction. I haven't trained with my Sawtooth, but, that's my initial thoughts. If I have an option, I might have stayed with TriZip Selway.
