Thanks for the video! NOTE: you don't actually have to draw the outline for every frame - you can just move the previous mask you made in the last frame and (if necessary) adjust the size or some of the points one by one. Much easier than starting from scratch with the outline in each frame.

There are cursor buttons on the left of the popup window. Choose the "normal" one and you can drag the points on the outline.

I’m using Sony movie studio 13 and everything looks the same except i don’t have the option to enable that mask checkbox at the beginning. Am i missing something or does movie studio just not have the option of masking. I tried adding the mask plugin but it only added a filter to the entire clip and didn’t Annie me to mask out certain parts.

You're doing the selection wrong,not connecting all the dots. or try to change some of the features in the path tab.

if you have, like in this example, pretty much just plain blue around your mask, couldn't you use greenscreen/bluescreen settings to get rid of it? and thanks for the secret of (not) resampling... my clips' properties seem to default to 'use project settings.' is there a way to tell the project not to resample? to save having to do it on every clip? ;) thanks a bunch!

Can someone helppp. So I was masking for 2 hours, but then when I was about to close the paths, I realized that I made two paths instead of one ( there was a really tiny gap between two anchors so I didn't notice.. Is there way for me to join the two paths?

2 questions How do you make all clips you drag in default to disable resampling so you don't have to do it everytime? Is it possible to create a default area to mask. Like if I wanted to mask out the mini map or ammo counter in the corners could those corners be selected as a default masked area for any new clips dragged in? When I mean default I mean for all future projects so you don't have to do it again after the one project you finish.

When I delete the mask in frame 2, it doesn't disappear in frame 1, but i don't see the object cut out anymore, is this a bug?

by the way if anyone is trying to find out how to move the selected mask for a video: you have to use the regular cursor tool and go to any mask dot and right click - select - click all or path and move the selected mask when the cursor is on the selected selected mask (it won't drag it and will apear yellow)
