I just bought this new cetaphil oily skin cleaner because of my girlfriend. We’re dating in long distance but she just advised me to use it and it’s been two days I’m using and I feel how smooth and slide my face is becoming. I hope it’ll work well on my face so that I can meet my girlfriend with a nice face on December for the first time here in Dubai. Thanks for the video and I’ve been using right exact of you said my girlfriend said it too🥰.

No, this is a regular cleanser suitable for normal, combination, and oily skin types. However, if you experience breakouts, I recommend addressing factors such as stress, lack of sleep, and diet (consider reducing sugar intake, possibly dairy like milk depending on your area, and avoiding excessive fast food or processed foods) as these can contribute to breakouts.

Hoi Melissa...!!! I've heard many nice comments about the new reformulating of Cetaphil's products.... they seem to have less harsh surfactants!!!... I guess a nice option instead of Cerave. By the way have you used already the new cleansing oil from Cerave?.. I like it...so far... also their micellar water.... now that is getting colder and dry, I tend to reach for more gentle cleansers... AND to answer your question from some time ago... my colleagues don't believe much in sunscreen.... specially now with our short daylight period we have every day... I do reapply at least twice a day....in the bathroom ( during my break).... hahaha, otherwise I get comments 😅. .. I work with a lot of women....of all ages... but none of them wear sunscreen.... people still think that sunscreen is only for a beach day.... then again, the culture here is... if we have a " sunny " day... we rush outside!!!!! Just to enjoy the warmth of the sun???!!!!!... sorry for my next question...but... do you live in Luxembourg or Austria ???? ....😃
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Manuel😊 Yes, they have changed the formulation. However, I do not notice much of a difference. It cleanses well, smells good and I like it a lot, just like the old version :) It may make a difference for someone who had issues with the old version and now may have a better experience with it! :) No, I haven't tried Cerave's Oil-Cleanser yet, but I did see it. I will order it and try it if I can! :) I like their Micellar Water a lot, it's gentle and removes makeup easily. Yes, the European/Western culture wants to get a nice tan whenever the sun is out whereas most Asian cultures are the opposite, they want to stay as white as possible and protect their skin with whatever they can! :) I do think that sun protection is important, however, I do not use sunscreen when I'm at home which is most of the time. Yes, I live in Luxembourg, but I'm sometimes in Austria :)

@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet It’s ironic because it was the same in Europe not that long ago. In Asia it’s all about status (not race like promoted by the west, tho depends on the country and wether they where colonized by a former European colonial superpower; England, France, Spain, Netherlands etc), and back in the day in Europe, a tan aka dark skin meant poor aka farmer, as they had to work outside in the burning sun tending their fields etc. While the pale/fair skinned people aka the rich, didn’t have to work, and where mainly inside. Later it changed in Europe, and it’s still a sign of status/health, as a tan means you could afford a vacay somewhere “exotic”. Pale means “unhealthy”. I’m Norwegian and it’s the same here, tho sunscreen has become more popular these days thanks to K-beauty and J-beauty. Personally I didn’t start wearing sunscreen daily until last year and I’m soon 34 years old. Before that, I didn’t wear anything, not even body lotion nor a moisturizer. My white Norwegian mom didn’t that I needed sunscreen due to my skin tone. I’m naturally many shades paler than seen in my thumbnail as that’s my summer tan. I go even darker if not careful, and I hate it. As my undertone is neutral, and I go ashy if too dark, just like poop. I now suffer from Rosacea which makes me appear even darker😭
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet 2 жыл бұрын
@@kilipaki87oritahiti Yes, that makes sense. However, it may have changed because of the "globalist" situation that we are currently in. So European countries became much more wealthy, and therefore you do not have it as much anymore. I am not so sure if sunscreen has become so popular, it's mainly in a little "skincare bubble" where people are very excited about it, but when I look at my "real life friends", they do not care about it. But yes, the Asian culture also made me more aware of it, and I think that it is an essential part of taking care of the skin, but I am also not in that camp where I use it inside or just go for a short walk when I am the entire day at home. So anyway, that is everyone's personal choice, and therefore I like to emphasize things whenever I can. Yes, I remember that you told me that already and that you couldn't use any moisturizer except for the Neutrogena Hydro Boost since all the others irritated your skin. So I wonder if that has changed and what are you currently using? 🤔

So use the daily facial cleanser in the morning and the other in the evening. @@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet But I have a question, Lately I have been suffering of Acne and Dark spots/scars and My question is Can Cetaphil can remove my Dark spots? Thanks 👍
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet 2 жыл бұрын
@@trolly_boom9309 Well, the new version of Cetaphil's Daily Facial Cleanser contains Niacinamide, which technically should help. However, I'm not sure how effective Niacinamide is in a cleanser, nor do I know a %. So, it may be best to use add a Salicylic Acid exfoliant and/or Niacinamide serum to your routine.

@@robertlycoudes So, give your skin time to adjust to it. Or if it still causes redness, stop using it for a few days and then try it again. I had the same issue but now everything is fine.

@@robertlycoudes The best would be to just use one cleanser. Only use two cleansers if you are wearing sunscreen that you then want to take off.

You can use the same cleanser in the morning. Have a look at Cerave's AM Ultra Light Moisturizing Lotion with SPF or Cetaphil's Dermacontrol moisturiser with SPF :)

Hey! :) Overall, the products that you have picked look good! :) Make sure to adjust the frequency of Glycolic Acid, start off by using it 2-3 times per week. If sensitivity should occur reduce the frequency of Glycolic Acid and/or Granactive Retinoid. Try it, let me know how it goes! :)

It is, however best would be a Salicylic Acid cleanser. For example The Inkey List Salicylic Acid cleanser, or their new "Cetaphil Acne Face Wash", but it's always out of stock 😞
