So I subscribed to this channel for the Optrel contest, but I bought an Optrel welding helmet for a class I was to attend at the Lincoln Welding school last year. It is the most comfortable and user friendly helmet I have ever used and a big thumbs up for them and a thank you.

Awesome design for sure. I live and work in a hot desert area. The flexibility of using it with or without hood or face shield is a huge benefit for my area. Love the fact you can take off your hood and still keep your filtration in place.

Interesting! If this works with a beard also, does that mean that a tight fit is not necessary because of the positive air pressure?

So i have a panoramaxx clt silver that i have been wearing for several months. Its seriously the most comfortable welding hood i have ever worn and the auto shade is awesome. I also hear people talk less about tack mode and that is a game changer for me. I might do galv structural soon and they require papr so i will 100% get this to accompany my panoramaxx

Is the gas filter available for the Swiss Air PAPR like it is for the E3000X system for protecting against welding gases & vapors? The E3000X video indicated that the gas filter would be needed in addition to the TH3 filter.

I heard about this hood on Baker's Gas website. I viewed the video and read other reviews regarding this hood. I am interested to see just how well the hood works. The hood looks awesome and very attractive. My students are curious about the hood and the performance as well. This is my first time learning about this hood. I am definitely pondering on purchasing one. Hope they have an education discount! lol

I love your welding helmets. I purchased my first helmet a few months ago from Bakers Gas. A beautiful Panoramaxx CLT crystal tru color. I love it, and it makes welding fun, actually being able to see what I'm working on. I hope to add the airpack sometime this year.

I've been using mine for about 9 months, and i continuiously find that even with the air on maximum delivery; i can't get enough flow. idk if theres something wrong with mine? or i have the worlds largest lungs? but i just cant get enough air to breth properly :/

Hi Ed. We have a gas filter for the e3000x PAPR. The Swiss Air is a HEPA filter so it's particulate.
