Could I use the Ram OZ Plus for the rough-out stage of woodcarving? I've heard that micromotors shouldn't be used for this, but perhaps this could handle it well?

Hi Oden. The OZ Plus has a ton of torque and can do quite a bit of roughing out.

Why error E0 And E1 coming in shaeshin oz black

Usually the E1 error has do do with the collet being loose (not threaded in all the way or using too small of a bit for the collet). The E0 error usually has to do with the cord not being plugged into the handpiece or control box properly.
