TreelineUSA is excited to introduce the New Thumb Micro Motor. This portable micro motor tool is incredibly comfortable to hold, only takes about 3 hours to charge, and you get 6-8 hours of use before you need to recharge. This runs at 30,000 rpm and has plenty of torque for wood carving, woodworking, salon use, and much more.

Hey great vid and this looks like a great little rotary tool. A couple of questions if you don't mind... -- Is the battery replaceable? I would keep it charged and use it maybe once a month. Will the battery hold a charge through long periods of non use? -- How about that quick lock system... it looks incredible. Does it really hold securely? Can I use a cutting disc with no slipping?

Hello! Yes. The battery is replaceable. Just don't leave it plugged in all the time. The quick lock system works great! I should work with most bits. It should still work with your cutting disc. It might depend on the diameter or how aggressive it is to know if it will slip or not. Feel free to give us a call.

Your website states that this device lasts 5/7 hours on a single charge whilst here in the promotional video you say 6/8 hours. Which statement is true and which is false? At over 300 dollars this device seems a little over priced, although it is clearly of great quality. Surely a variety of additional bits should be included. Thanks for the info anyhow. o/

Hi David. The manufacturer shows that you should get 5-7 hours but most of the feedback we are getting from the actual users is 6-8. Sorry for any confusion, but you are right that this is a great quality tool! Let us know if you have any questions.

+Treeline, Thanks for the quick response. But your reply leaves me thinking; has the unit been comprehensively tested by the manufacturer. Has the repetitive coughing of the presenter been caused by inappropriate use of the product. The ultra fine dust made by the 'thumb micro motor' once inhaled will be difficult for the lungs to process.

The manufacturer has been making tools since 1976 and is one of the best we have ever seen. The Thumb is a relatively new product but their reputation for quality it incredible. The testing we have done here along with feedback from other users gives us assurance to confidently promote this product and put our name behind it. You may get some slight variation on the battery life depending on how the tool is being used. I was surprised to learn that the tools make less of draw on the battery when it is running full speed. I'm not sure what you mean by the repetitive coughing. I just listened again to the video and didn't notice that, but in response you should always have a way to control the dust (dust collector, fan, dust mask, etc). Some woods can make you very sick when you breathe the dust. I hope this helps, but if you have any other questions feel free to give us a call.

I'm going to hazard a guess that the manufacturer is going to err on the side of conservative time estimates to prevent problems from those saying "you said 6 hours and I only get 5 1/2 hours". I've used their products in another environment and my experience is that products usually exceed specs, for whatever that is worth.
