Hi, can you tell, if there is 100 labours where should we input this data

100 labor per day or 100 hours a labor day. Please explain clearly . If you have 1000 Nos of labor a day. you have a total no of 1000 manpower as labor resource. Then see what are your required histogram manpower If you have calculated 1000 no of labor days (Mandays) for certain activity. Then first of all recheck it's may be an hours because one single activity cannot have a huge number of manpower loaded to an activity. Their may be 1000 total labor a day but for one single activity it's impossible. Because activities are minimum split to very minimum duration. Now if you got the 1000 labors as a result from you productivity rate for that specific activity by dividing from quantity of activity. Then put them as budgeted units in the resource after assigning resource as calculated

Please follow the below steps to assign manpower or labor resources to your schedule in Primavera P6: First, calculate the quantity of activities in the schedule. Prepare productivity rates for each activity with all types of resources. Calculate total budgeted units for each resource used in specific activities. First Thanks for quick response, and I'm asking if 10 labour required for particular activity, where should we input that 10 number or can say if foundation work needs 10 labour. And kindly tell how to use shift calendar and shifts

@durgeshk9204 10 X Duration of activity X No of hours in a working day = Budgeted units Then assign the labor resource to the activity, putting the budgeted units in it. Make sure the duration type is set to "fixed duration and units," or you can change it to "Fixed duration and units/time." Then there's no need to calculate using the above formula; just add 10 X Working hours a day into the budgeted units/time cell in the resources tab. No need to use the Shift option in P6. Instead, duplicate the activities with a second calendar in the evening hours. Create two calendars, one for evening and one for morning. That's a better way to work in shifts. If you use the P6 shift option, it may produce complex results that could be difficult for others to understand. Intelligent people like you can handle it, but it's usually better to represent something in an easy way. If you use the Shift option, it will only work in the resource assignment and resource usage profile sections only.

And also stuck one more place, if start and finish dates are given, means work has to be done within time period then how to redistribute the duration of activities within that period according to the weightage of duration required more or less in particular activity. Kindly solve this query also
