Astorneer Wanderer how to use the probe scanner to find the vintage probes in the game Astroneer. The Probe scanner will lead you to a vintage probe on every planet in Astroneer. Each Probe will unlock a different Wanderer Palette in Astroneer. This video shows the Probe Scanner being used on the planet Galcio to locate the Vintage Probe to unlock the teal Wanderer Palette. This video shows how to unlock the Astroneer Wanderer Achievement by using the probe scanner.

3 years too late, but.. just as an FYI, if you use you open your compass while you use your probe scanner, it'll actually give you a marker on your HUD exactly where it is.

On Novus there seems no satellite, it doesn't even show one bar in the probe scanner. It just turns in circles really fast and than stops. No beeping! Any advice Commander Hill?!

No worries.. I haven't played this game in a while but I see it's available for Xbox game pass so I may have to revisit it. I've heard they made a lot of changes so it sounds fun to go back and play some more astroneer.

Hm, my version doesn't have that little ring around the probe, nor does it point in any direction. I'm on the Xbox tho, maybe that's why

@@CornbreadNelson I actually figured it out shortly after posting this. You have to activate it and it runs for like, 5 seconds. Duh. I just didn't realize that equipping it in the auxiliary slot wasn't enough on its own 🙄😂
