NoRMiEx all of it is easy for me except the chest. I messed around with all of it and it’s REALLY simple. But the conclusion I’ve come down with about the chest is that the first item you put in, it gives a 1 strength. Second item you put in, it gives another strength. Fourth stack you put in gives a strength of 3 and sixth stack you put in gives a strength of 4. Starting from the fourth stack, you have to keep on putting 2 stacks to get another strength signal

Litterally Minecraft is a game with perimiter,area and electric wiring 🙄 basically a 3D sand box
These things are so useful, I've reached that point in my redstone career where now I'm not just copying everyone else's designs (always) but now I'm putting like 3 circuits together to make even crazier builds, and understanding how the random redstone bits that make up the originals work is important when in tight spaces! Also that clock and extender are so much more compact then what I just spent hours on trying to fit with old designs

There doesn't seem to be an "addition" mode. Normal mode doesn't add the input signal strengths; it just checks whether the secondary input signal is stronger than the main input, and if it is, the secondary input inhibits the output.

THIS IS SO COOOOOOOOOL I HAD NO IDEA WHAT COMPARATORS DO BUT NOW THEY MAKE SO MUCH SENSE so to make like a auto sorter what they would be doing is problably running redstone into the hopper and if there is more than a sertain amount of items then it turns off the redstone letting to put the items in a chest
@ethanwagner64184 жыл бұрын
I think I have a good explanation for the Redstone comparator equation. I included a TL;DR at the end, and I am willing to answer questions or make revisions to my explanation. So the fullness of each slot is measured as a percentage. The fullness of a container is measured as the average of each fullness percentage, and the fullness of the container is also a percentage. At a glance, one might assume they could multiply the fullness percentage by the maximum signal strength of 15 to find the output strength of a comparator reading a container. It's important to know that truncation is used in order to remove all decimal values from a number. It's nothing fancy, the numbers past the decimal point are literally just chopped off the final answer. It's because of truncation that if the fullness percentage was simply multiplied by max signal strength 15, there is a situation in which a nearly empty container (about 7% or less) won't register. If a container was 1% full, 1% x 15 = 0.15, and the .15 would be lost to truncation. Instead the equation multiplies by 14 and adds 1 to make up for not multiplying by 15. Now, it doesn't matter if fullness x 14 < 1, because 1 will always be added to the final answer before the decimal values are removed. TL;DR: Each increment of Redstone signal is like a box, and each box can hold only 7% or less of the container being read. The first 7% needs only one box, but the 8th percent needs another box. *So for every 7% of the container's total space being used, a single increment of Redstone signal strength is produced.*

Just a tip for those who don't understand the subtracting mode: A redstone charge is 15 blocks and minuses 1 block charge for every block moved. The comparator takes what is being put in because that is however many blocks of charge left is being input and subtracting it from the secondary input being put from the main input. Making minecraft ur new math class thus Minecraft: Education Edition is born. =P
