My personal preference, I don’t wait till I “land” in NY or Switzerland. I set the watch soon after takeoff to the local time where I’ll be landing. Get your body used to seeing the current time where you’ll be next. Just me

There’s an element of that. I travel weekly all over the country and end up in weird spots like mountain time, but live in houston, and primarily talk to clients in NY. GMT isn’t needed for everyone but it’s legit useful for me.

"Return back to NY" or return to? Next time you could mention that if you point the GMT hand towards the sun, 12 o' clock points to north. Do consider a 15 degree difference for Summer Time. I am Michael the explorer from England and Rolex wearer since 1975 when I was 19 years old.
