Question: so if im only using tradeovate for the dom and I'm charting on trading view. Do I still need to get the market data subscription on tradovate so that the price action on the dom matches the trading view? because right now tradingview prices is NOT matching my tradovate dom AT ALL

Alright, be gentle as I am very green when it comes to this stuff. I just started messing around with the demo version of Tradovate. It started me with $50,000 in equity. Why when I buy a contract/future (again, I’m green) for $4,500 or so, why does the equity not go up or down when I buy it and then when I sell it, why do I show a profit? Is there any way to see how much the return or loss is on the contracts? Before I left for work I ended with $59,000 +/- in equity.

Hey Matt, been recently following your stream VODs. Have you tried ninjatrader? If so, what do you like about tradovate vs ninja? As far as trading, do you incorporate price action trading (like Mack's) with your volume style trading? Yes you need to pay for data feed based on the specific exchange you are looking to trade , you can see the fees per exchange on the website

Do you know if it's possible to set contracts to 1 but then click it 2 times and have it combine the 2 positions? Or if you can have the buttons at top place a bracket but have the chart trader do a single order? Similar to how Ninjatrader works. Also, do you find that you miss having indicator based alerts?
