Fascinating that one can embody conflicting ideas and motivations in chair work. It is like couples therapy, but instead it is with different aspects of yourself. Basically you are allowing each side to take the stage and give their presentation without judgment and with a fair amount of compassion. Then by moving about you are basically creating a connecting dialogue 'net' of sorts. Finding a compromise between them or the more true path amongst them. I am looking in trying this out.

You explain so well, I am considering using the empty chair for use with someone and their "inner child" which is having dreams or struggles to sleep and possibly other issues that could be holding them back...Question so the inner child might sit in the empty chair to uncover some issues or trauma that might be holding them back possibly in many ways.. Could you demo this technique with the inner child , if appropriate, thanks

I wouldn't use this technique with the intention to uncover trauma as that can re-traumatise. Please view my Chairwork playlist as this will provide some clarity for you. Best wishes, Teresa.

Where was the client sitting? Changing her position constantly?

The orange chair depicts the client chair. Yes, the client was changing chairs throughout. Best wishes, Teresa.
