I can't find the level 1 control solution on Amazon. Is level 2 okay to use?

They advise using all 3 levels of control solution. Does that mean that we need to use 3 test strips each time we test the meter? I know with the meter I have now, there is only one control solution.

Does the foil affect the reading at all? It seems it could contaminate it. It usually wants you to put the bottle by the strip and squeeze directly to the strip.

New to diabetes- Just found out a few days ago, but I've probably been living with the condition unknowingly for years. control solution didn't come in the box and the instructions were a little confusing. the pharmacist didn't mention a control solution but he knew the test strips were seperate. This helps a lot I"ll get some solution and callibrate this sucker

THANK YOU TREMENDOUSLY. The booklet instructions were CLEAR AS MUD to me. And the only time I remembered and asked at the office, the tech person could do tests but had never done Test Solution Tests on the Monitor, and didn't know the process. I am sorry, but I am so glad to see how simple this REALLY IS - yet exasperated at the comprehensibility of the written instructions that came with the kit. I cannot tell you how TREMENDOUS it is to be able to find a simple, plain demonstration, particularly of finding the chart that explains the reading I got on the Testing Solution Test Strip. Yet my personal failure in Lack of Reading Comprehension... As Charlie Brown would say - AUGH!!!

Thank you for showing me how to use the control solution. My 2 kits, which I was sent did not include control solution, so I had to have my endocrinologist send in a prescription. My pharmacist said he did not have it to give me. Weird.

Thanks great video. I have a true matrix 60 and it is reading about 10 points lower than my contour next. Control solution test in range at 39 level 1. Thanks.😊

I bought this meter for my husband because the accuchek strips were too expensive. Our True Metrix did not come with a control solution. Also, this meter ranges from 10-40 points higher than the Accuchek. Who are we supposed to believe? Does this meter even work?

I know this comment is 3 years old, but I just came back from the doctor and my suger was 79 I go home and test and it said 117. That was 20 minutes later and I didn't eat. This thing is not accurate

@@oldmanbiscuit7518 No, it’s not. Mine is usually low, also, and it reads prediabetic/diabetic, too. I thinks it’s overclocked to get patients to freak out and buy Metformin. Just watch your carbs and you should be fine. But I’m not a doctor. (Three years, huh? Wow! Time flies!)

Wait, the test solution is only good for 3 months after opening? As if anyone is going to use the amount of test solution in one of those bottles within three months! And of course they don't send another bottle with your test strips, so you have to buy another one when they could easily send tiny bottles with new strips for the same cost as the wasteful large ones. This is why people hate American business practices.

I'm not a fan of this meter. I've tried 6 or 7 strips, and I keep getting E-3. Like you said, i use a little extra solution, I let the strip stay a few seconds longer, and still E-3. Does anyone want to buy a slightly used True Metrix meter? I have NO patience! My other meter&solution you can see it draw up into the strip. This one doesn't, that i can see. It looks like I'm gonna have to purchase another meter that's more user-friendly! Signed frustrated!😒🫣😒
