How to Use Trumpet Bell Flare Mandrel Tool

This video is about how to use the trumpet bell flare mandrel. It also shows the type of dents that it works well on and the type of dents it does not work so well on. This video does not show the trombone bell flare mandrel, but it is very similar.

If the dents cannot be removed by the "Trumpet Dent Ball Driver/Retriever", you may need to remove the bell and get as many of the dents as you can with a small tapered mandrel that will fit into the bell stem. Then use a trombone slide mandrel and a roller or burnisher to clean up the dents.
