Hi, I’m a newbie to customising cycling shoes (or, cleats, as you say in the US). Can you advise on the best method/vinyls for stencilling on to the cycling shoes. I’m UK based. I’ve got a Cricut Explore 3 and Procteate software. When I put the vinyl on the shoes the paint bleeds through, even after applying a heat gun and flattening the edges etc.

Not too sure, silhouette has pretty good preset settings so I can’t speak for cricut but I would just try turning down the thickness that it’s cutting at a bit along with the speed.

Here's a quicker method in Photoshop: Select Select>Color Range... Then, using the eyedropper, select the color you want selected, and then click OK.

If you want to prioritize keeping the material soft yes, on something very small like a tounge tag it’s not the end of the world if you don’t

@@femboy-TieDye I don’t really think there’s a situation I’d use dye and stencil, dye is meant to penetrate and spread, paint sits on a surface basically.. the dye would just leak right through and under the stencil

Horrible. This is how you ruin your tongue tags. After using masking tape on a tongue tag and a heat gun it will leave the adhesive residue on your tag and will attract so much dirt that your tags will get dirty in less than a month. Sorry but naw this is a waste of money and time.
