to avoid using waveshell, if you manage all plugins you will get this "verify plugins" option and it should make all the waves plugins act like normal vst's

Make sure you are saving the plugin snapshot after you have loaded the plugin you want.

V9 is for 2012 and is legacy at this point. I can’t remember what the process was. Pretty sure you can still use waves central for the install though.

@@scaylar7246 V7 plugins are from like 2009. I dont think real time was even a plugin then. Also unless you're still on like WinXP they probably aren't supported.

PLEASE HELP! I can do exactly what you did in this video: open the plugins in the mixer. But I bought waves bass finger and slap plugins, and I need to open those in the channel rack like any other vst plugin. But when I do so (open the waveshell in the channel rack) it says it needs to be loaded in the mixer. But it should be able to be loaded in the channel rack, right? I shouldnt have to use my bass plugin in the mixer do I? Then I cant play it with midi... Please help me load it in the channel rack!

I had this issue too! What you have to do is check "verify plugins" in plugin manager before scanning, this makes fl detect all your plugin and they will be recognized as individual ones. This makes you able to use them in the channel rack too!

If you have 100's of plugins like myself. You can put key ones in a separate location to get scanned and verified, As 20% of comments are to impatient to wait for the scan to finish lol

This is great, however what about instruments like Waves' piano plugins? How can we send midi if its using the mixer channel?

You open them into the channel rack not the mixer.

@@Unders I tried that originally, but wouldn't work. It was saying it was not installed correctly. Just found a solution though, by adding a midi out plugin in the channel rack, which is routed to the waves plugin I have on the mixer Damn you Waves!!

Amazing, thanks for this, helped a lot - I would just add that new folder " Waves " ( or you can call it as you like ) can be created in the default plugin folder of FL so you can have all wanted waves plugins in new created area " Waves " in you effects selector so you dont mix them with other plugins! BTW. I couldn't escape thoughts that if you have solution for waves, you could have some option of solving a problem of delayed sounds on tracks where UAD plugins were used after exporting the song? I was on FL studio support forum, and there is a solution of turning on " live tracking " icon on each UAD plugin, but is a bit annoying to do that every time, so please - if you can share your experience with UAD, that would be great. Nope that is the only way to fix it in FL studio. I just don’t use my UAD plugs in FL. Shame but I remember when there was no PDC at all.

Just updated to FL 20, and when I open the Waveshell plugin it only opens up the "Abbey Road Plates" plugin, and not the shell window. How to fix this?

you might need to reinstall the waves shell and or update the plugins. I cant be sure with such little information. If i were you id get support here www.waves.com/contact-us

@@siddhantpetkar9728 I know this is late but I fixed it by copying the waveshell.dll file from the waves folder to my vst2 folder in program files> common files>VST2. then scan I’m guessing you are opening the waveshell vst3 in your daw I don’t know why it does that but that’s what worked for me hope this helps

Yeah it’s easy. Go to waves site, go to downloads an download the offline V9 installer. Then select that when installing from waves central 👍

@@Unders Thanks for the tutorial, but that doesn't bypass Waveshell, it just creates a shortcut to Waveshell with the plugin loaded in it. And you have to do it for every single Waves plugin. FL 20 has a way of recognizing Waves plugins natively without a shell.

Some of mine work with an image an some do not. You can manually add images but it’s time consuming. No simple fix that I know sorry.

I've installed waves, but it seems that if you only have one version installed they remove the option for you to use the shell, but that sucks because now I don't have access to the shell. I can see all of the individual plugins but I can't fav the shell which is way more convenient. HELP!!! PLEASE!!! Otherwise my only option is to FAV every individual WAVE plugin one at a time...... HELP!
