FADEC and GPS have nothing on the E6B. No batteries, no electronics, nothing to break down. I have been flying for 10+ years, and E6B is a genius invention. Saved my life a few times.

I like that newer E6-B2 model. It has a rotating wind line on the wind side so you don’t have to use a pencil and make dots anymore. ASA makes it. One drawback, though on any mechanical E6B, and this includes anyone that I bought, the rotating disc is very stiff, and you have to loosen it up to be able to use it with one hand in the cockpit.
