I've bee flying 25+ years and needed to convert my FAA ATP to another country's ATP, but they required me to do an ATP test, maaany years after I did mine, so I had to go back to basics and study again and this required to learn again how to use this E6B, this tutorial was all I needed. I'm form going from a G600 to a Global 7500 and this was a great tool for me, buddy you never know who you're helping out, thanks a lot.

That's awesome Franco. Glad it helped, and I'm certainly envious of what you'll be flying.

Mike, you are fast! Efficient! I just got the electronic E6B and while flying home commercial over the Atlantic to Europe you taught me how to use it (thanks for the download feature, KZbin). IN In a nutshell, yes, this is the BEST instruction video for the electronic E6B. Thanks so much!

Heck of a video. Thank you for going over some many different figures the calculator has! I needed some help with the WT/ARM section for commercial practice questions!

I used the Pressure Density/alt function and matched it to 819 elev, temp 23c and the density alt was off 256 from ForeFlight density altitude

@@MikesInventions At minute 9:42, the TAS is 105.8 and at minute 10:11 the TAS is 106.1. I got a bit confused. Can you help?
@MikesInventions2 жыл бұрын
@@tonyl9051 It's just some sort of rounding math error within the computer. Obviously, for any sort of test or actual planning, the speed you'd use would be 106. The difference of 0.3 kts is meaningless. Good eye! You were obviously paying very close attention. Thanks for watching

Setting the clock is super hard. I was not able to do this. Guess I need to get some geek to do that for me. I use the manual E6b but it does take longer to calc. the cross winds and so. I need something to speed things up.
@kimberlywentworth91602 жыл бұрын
I think it is just so much easier for me to use my brain to add or subtract the 7 hours time. So much easier. No need to set the clock. The only clock that is accurate is the cell phone clock. I use that clock and just do the conversions in my head. All other clocks are wrong and totally incorrect. Never trust a clock unless it is a clock on your computer, or on your phone.
@MikesInventions2 жыл бұрын
You're certainly right about which clocks are to be trusted. Did you ever give the E6B clock another try?

@@MikesInventions I find the mechanical E6B ti work just fine. I can do the calculations much faster and easier to use the mechanical E6B.
