For everyone wondering how to do this in 1.19.3+, all you have to do is go into the 'entity' folder --> create a 'player' folder inside of the 'entity' folder --> create a 'wide' folder AND a 'slim' folder inside of the 'player' folder --> paste 9 copies of your custom skin into both the slim and wide folders named alex, ari, efe, kai, makena, noor, steve, sunny, zuri. So you should have 9 copies of your customskin.png renamed to alex, ari, efe, etc. inside of the 'wide' folder; and 9 copies inside the 'slim' folder. I spent way too long trying to figure out how to unpack and repack the jar file in the versions folder before realizing I could just make these new folders in the texturepack lmao

So, for some awful reason, my skin hasn't been showing since my fresh install. I've been absolutely beating my head on this trying to find the cause, because Steve with a mermaid tail in game is horrible. This is the only thing that's worked so far, so thank you very much!

When I use it it applies my skin to a 4-pixel hand model, but my skin is 3-pixel hand. If I remove the "steve" image it turns me into steve. version 1.19.2, can anyone help?

It dosnt show you how to get there cause they already had the file location pulled up. Again they show how they got to the file location, just that it exists, and that they already had it pulled up in another tab.

I did this on Tlauncher minecraft version 1.19.3 but it doesnt seems to work since if your resource pack there is a default resoruce pack on top of your custom one. Not sure why its not working, anybody know?

1.19.3 changed some game files due to new default chracter skins so now the skin is located at assets>minecraft>textures>entity>player>slime/wide and drop your renamed skins there along with new skins
