As Stuart has stated many times everything begins with the grip. For those who have not watched all of the grip series videos Stuart has, you need to go there first. i can attest, it will change your game as it has completely changed mine to making lower scores. truly the best golf coach on youtube.

I am 75 and have a long way to go and hopefully quite a bit of time left to improve. After watching your grip series and following your suggestions my ball striking has improved not ready to join the senior tour but definitely better. Next step is working on pulling the handle.

Stu, how would you compare / contrast the right hand movement through impact in this video with instruction from Pete Cowen? It seems to me there are similarities at the point of impact and pressuring down with the right hand and wrist. Thanks.......

Hi Ken - I am not familiar with what Pete coaches I’m afraid.

I really appreciate this video. I've struggled forever in getting the right hand involved in impact without pull/hooking. I will try the weaker right hand grip in my fingers.

As you’ve said many many times, everything starts with the proper grip. I can attest that the correct grip is vital and it made all the difference to my swing. I used to use a palm up right hand because I was a slicer years ago. Once I learned how to swing better, I started making my right hand weaker, I.e., more on top and my slice disappeared. I now place my right hand so that my lifeline lines up or cradles my left thumb, which gives me a grip that works. And, of course, my left hand is strong. We all need to have ingrained in us how very important grip is for a good swing. Thanks for the reminder, it’s never enough. Cheers.

Stu, I'm having some positive times since following you, my 4wood (as driver) is going great, and irons improving but I've noticed that now my hand path is getting more low to low and moving inward and around my lead hip - I'm striking the ball much better but I'm hitting 20 degs left. Is this anything to do with what you say about right hand? Cheers

Hey Lee - watch my video "Power at Impact" to rid yourself of left shots, but this could be one of many reasons why you are left. Hope it hits the mark. Best wishes Stu

All this interdepencies of grips and the right arm in the golf swing are an eyeopener. Thank You very much. But I think all the same there is a missing link. If I does not have sufficient flexibility for extending the right wrist and the external rotation of the right elbow to gain the right position for impact, I will not achieve a good impact. A remedy for this problem would help.

I would advise watching my broom series and more of my content. One video wont do it - hope that helps. Best wishes Stu

Need to watch this again. When you talk about the rh being more on top, where is the so called "v" between the thumb and forefinger pointing?
@GoodGolfCoaching6 ай бұрын
Hi John - the “v” really isn’t worth focussing on due to being able to have the club in the palm and point the “v” your chin. All about club placement in the fingers or palm and everywhere in between. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu 😊

......my swing definitely improved a while back after placing my right hand more on top. It seems like it really has helped with the longer clubs too.....Stu, can you please give me a tip on how to miss hit a few more balls on the driving range ,I think I'm getting a little too cocky 😁......thanks Stu ⛳🍺

The right hand is equally under rated like the left hand Gary, glad you have seen the light. I'll get your entry filled out for the Korn Ferry sorted, let me know your tee time, I'll be ready.... 😂

Another great video BUT a lot on the grip and not much on the release which was in the thumb nail. I'm trying to adapt from my old swing to your method and, possibly because I'm old and doddery I need something more explicit about what the hand actually does through impact using the finger grip! My golf is improving, thanks to you.
