Finally someone who knows how to train the apprentice rather than using them as cheap labour
@dylanmorgan275211 ай бұрын
True so many big companies will use young people as slave labour then your middle aged blokes with gold dust contracts act like they’ve got attitude issues. Mate of mine secured what he thought was a promising job for life at Network rail, worked his arse off on peanuts for a few years only to get thrown away with the others a few weeks before graduating. You’d be surprised how much a young enthusiastic person will work for you if they can trust you.
@CalumRoberts-i1x5 ай бұрын
It's mostly U grade students & Foriegn Labour who do these jobs From about 1990 until a couple of years ago It waa unheard of getting an A* star to do a job like this now with the lack of interest in the arts This could be the awnser for many people

Hello mate, i'm a 56 year old brickie. You have this game worked out big time with all your attention to detail. Thanks for your help, you help me lay a bit easier & more efficient. As you say mate, diet , sleep & not wasting energy is so important. I am never to old to learn. I'm not the fastest for sure but tidy & that get's me paid.

I live in the U.S. I wish I had learned brick laying as a profession. Instead I went to college and got a degree in chemistry. Then worked for Union Carbide and Dow in Research and Development until Dow left the area I lived at. As a technician it was boring and monotonous. Brick laying seems more satisfying because you can see what your building and take pride in it.

Nice work, ethics, don't abuse your apprentices or there won't be any apprentices. Hard enough to get good help ,hire apprentices, raise your own good help.
@dylanmorgan275211 ай бұрын
Exactly. These people wonder why there aren’t enough young people learning trades and put it all down to youngsters having no graft when they won’t lift a finger to teach them. A good apprentice will work hard for you so long as they can trust you with their future.
