I am using similar kind of VAX VACCUM CLEANER. BRUSH MOTOR NOT ROTATING AND BRUSH also got stuck it's not rotating at all. How to fix these issues. Kindly let me know.

Thank you so much! I tried fixing mine with the official video and couldn’t work out why it still wasn’t working. Within seconds of your video, I realised that the end cap had melted. It means that I have been able to order a new part instead of an entirely new vacuum cleaner!

A fantastic help, cleaned the housing too while the brush bar was out. That was filthy after 6 weeks of cleaning up dog hairs. Now I have the confidence to do this I will more often. I also cleaned all the pipes by removing them and washing in disinfectant. Thank you 😊

Nice video mate. Sucked up a cable and had to remove the brush bar. Then couldn’t put it back together! Took us longer than you - but got there in the end. Saved us a few quid.

Thank you so much, I've been here for over an hour trying to remove it. This is a new hoover for me but I clean my hoover weekly, not being able to access in that area was driving me mad, seeing all that dust in that chamber, they really need to make things easier for us, I don't think people ever clean their Hoovers unless they break, I just can't do that, I need to keep mine looking brand new 😂. If the end of the roller is not spinning where the square is youll need to put it in a vice or use mold grips etc to release it. Once released clean & use either wd40 or grease Vaseline etc to relubricate so it spins.

If your brush bar isnt moving check a button hasnt been accidently pressed, on 1 I looked at yesterday the button for the brushbar is next to the on/off button.

Try the brushbar switch next to the power switch, if the light is still red without the belt fitted, the motor has burnt out

That end cap should pop off with a flat screwdriver, and there's usually a whole load of hair wrapped around there

@@parwaz7861 hi, thank you. Managed to pop it off and the plastic gear around the bearing was all melted and ground down. The bearing is stuck and won't spin freely. I think I need a replacement brush...

Mine wont pop off at all. Using a flat headed screwdriver to do ot but breaking the plastic around it ☹

Very straightforward and to the point video, extremely useful. 0:46 any way to fix this if it doesn't spin? Seems jammed but don't know what to do. Can't see any hairs I need to take out either.

Many thanks for the great comment! The end cap should pop off with a flat screwdriver, be careful not to break it. If it's jammed it's either due to a buildup of hair inside it, or the hair will have melted with friction and also melted the plastic too. There is also a ball bearing in there so if that's seized, it's another cause.

Great video. Any idea how to unstick the square section on the brush bar? Ive cleaned wvery thing but the brush bar wont spin as the square section is seized

Use a flat screwdriver to pry off the end cap and usually there’s hair wrapped around preventing it from spinning, if it still struggles to spin, a new brushbar will be required
