HOW TO VENT A BATHROOM EXHAUST FAN
iPower Vent Hose on Amazon: geni.us/z83l
Aluminum Foil Tape on Amazon: geni.us/Arbd
Hey Dads,
I had an energy audit done on my house and the auditor told me that I needed to vent my bathroom better than what was already there. So I bought two vent hoses so that I could extend the bathroom exhaust all the way to so the soffit and out of the house.
You can also use this vent hose as a dryer vent hose. These iPower vent hoses seem to be very durable and they comes with the clamps in the package. I did get some aluminum tape so that the hoses would stay together better and be easier to put together.
This is my authentic, unedited #review / installation of the iPower Ventilation Hose for my bathroom exhaust fan. If you like my review videos, consider subscribing, and let me know in the comments what you want this dad to review next.

You should use insulated duct. This helps eliminate condensation from form on the outside of the ducting when the warm air is going through the cold attic air.

3:35 not sure if others have said already, but what ya missing to connect to flex lines is a 4” coupler. Than ya use foil tape to secure the flex lines to aluminum coupler (which has 2 male crimped ends that will accept the flex lines) and will be secure w/o driving crazy trying to connect to flex lines

You should use insulated duct. Ran straight up from exhaust fan out your roof. Never ever run it out your soffit because it'll just cause mold back in attic once it sucks the air back up through the soffit

I would use an aluminum flew as a Union, put both hoses on the flew and use two clamps on the hoses. Then if you want, use the aluminum tape over the seam.

To make this even better, use an insulated flex hose. The amount of moisture from your shower can create condensation and whatnot which is awful in the attic. 💪🤙👍

the installer cut it likely to reduce costs, and not bothering to terminate it is cheaper but totally amateurish - likely had no idea what he was doing or a total cowboy. I think you should have just bought a new longer section of ducting it's not that expensive.
