As always, a great tutorial from the master jigger! Question: Double unit knots for braid-to-mono and from mono-to--flouro?

Thanks man. For braid to mono i always go with a pr knot especially if your jigging all the way up, on the drop, and casting. Its a super easy knot to do with a bobbin tool. It just take a couple tries at first swinging the bobbin around. After that its super easy everytime. It is the strongest knot no doubt tested! When on kayak i go with fg knot. I make sure to really im mean really really tighten the knot. I normally use the handle to my knife or pliers to wrap the braid when testing the strength of the knot on kayak. For mono to floro i use uni to uni. If the bite is on fire and i just been broke off. In a hurry Ill run straight floro.

Thanks for your video. How do you work your line on the conventional reel and jig at the same time without a level wind? I borrowed a Torium and my line is some what slack & bunched up on the far right.

Thanks. You want narrow spool and by turning the reel slightly right or left will help level it. 🤙

Why do you reel right hand with conventional and left spinning?

Its more personal preference. For me Vertical jigging Left hand its easier with a spinner considering im right handed/stronger holding/controling the rod pumping/ripping the jig thru water column. Slow pitch jigging im holding the rod with my left as 1unit slowly loading/pitching the jig as my right hand is stronger/cranking.

​​​@@YakNinja I just experienced with both and I'm right hand. Found that jigging I like left hand with my strong arm on the weight of the fish helps and I'm less tired jigging. Lexa 400 reel and that motion is perfect. Thx from Oahu

😂 my kayak cost 2k and its un flip-able. It's like trying to flip a pallet. Unsafe? Been offshore fishing since 2015 no issues. A lot safer than a regular kayak plus I catch plenty of fish. So let's look at the pros and cons boat vs kayak... my kayak weights 68lbs and I car top my kayak and store it on top of bbq grill when not in use. Boat you need storage and trailer. My outboard takes 1 liter in gas and uses 1/4 quart of oil. Boat = $$$$$ I can launch ANYWHERE! No ramp fees and parking fees. Boat🤷‍♂️
