Super helpful. Your vids give so much great detail. It's nice to see you fight a bit with the solution too. Big takeaway is just take your time. The material is super durable and can take a lot of readjustments, etc. Thanks bro!

If you have the chance, you should try starting inside/out! You'd be suprise how much easier it is with chrome vinyl! If you start it right, you'll get zero tension and no glue tension marks because the vinyl will fall into place just by doing the "smiling effect"! :)

Hey great videos man! You should consider getting a little rolling table or rolling tool box to put your heat gun on so you don't have to bend down to get it so often. Love the content!

+The 86 Life definitely a good idea but I might miss out on some exercise. Though I'd probably break less heat guns if I had a cart to put them on

I am going to be wrapping my 66 Vw Beetle.I think the most challenging part will be on the Rear window recesses.I don't want to take the Windows out so what's the best way to do these? 👍

Ck the knife you use. Is it metal. Because I watched other videos that suggested plastic to prevent scratching. Also I would like to thank you for everything you teach/ show. I'm going to use vinyl on my Nissan 370Z and u encouraged me to go for it and try

Hey CK, I own a Mercedes c300, and the body style is really similar. I can't figure out how you took the chrome and plastic piece off above the license plate. Got any tips for me?

Did you have to heat the wrap to a certain temp after you were done to break the memory on the film and not have pull back?
@Wali96286 жыл бұрын
Christian what happens if you start by doing the recess first then work outwards?

Vvivid vinyl is trash to work with, but you made this look pretty good... well done.

+Eric Muschlitz because a plastic knife and cut into paint the same way a metal knife can

That vinyl in the recessed area is coming off in less than 2 weeks. You heat stretched a small area more than 30%.
@CKWraps8 жыл бұрын
G8 Beast that's incorrect. We took the stretch from the center by heating the areas around the recess. Pushing in from the center to the recess as you mentioned you do will actually cause a greater chance of the vinyl popping out as you mentioned again
@Wali96286 жыл бұрын
Christian can you not start from the recess first then work your way out?
@nnggghhaa37097 жыл бұрын
not a pro, but why not heat in in the middle only and push the material in the deep areas?
@jactan63957 жыл бұрын
nnggg hhaa not a pro either but i can probably answer that. If you only heat middle and push down, it will create the stress on 4 corners + middle more than other places unevenly which will make it break (the curve is pretty deep). Also will create bubble because it can never be exactly fit, either a bit smaller or a bit bigger(also harder to fix bubbles/wrinkles as well), also wrinkles around 4 screws after cut the holes for it
