@Nicole M lmao im studying for med school which is beneficial for me , i was supposed to be volunteering abroad in a malaysian school and the med centre near it though i decided because of covid i didn't want to put anyone in danger and have stayed home trying to do the most i can to build up my resume for med school . i'm not stepping away for my education im shining a light onto things that make me happy and put me further up in the world with my schooling and career .

@@Millie.Mindful You can do that without bragging about your age. The comment sounded a bit pretentious and naive which is why we mentioned about education first. However if your planning on doing something in your summer break go ahead. I’m also 16 and considering going abroad where the need is greater to get into an IVY or Russel Group uni down the line.

Most volunteer abroad schemes that I’ve come across make you pay a fee, these are free but you need to cover your living expenses (although some organisations might even cover these for you, based on your level of expertise ☺️).
