This is exactly what I need, a proper warm up routine for a quick turnaround. Thank you
@Chris-lh6hw11 ай бұрын
I try and get to the course at least an hour before to do exactly that , warm up and practice. Sadly still not a pro but I enjoy playing regardless. 😅 I did enjoy watching this video. Some really good advice. I've noticed the 7 wood is Becoming more popular.

Great stuff - other than advising to stretch statically (holding the stretch) pre game. Dynamic stretching (bouncing in and out of it as you wrote) is the correct way to stretch prior to activity. Countless studies and literature on this. 🙏

Where do you stand on swinging multiple clubs (weighted) being counterproductive. As you're swinging them slower and the way to go was to turn the driver upside down and swing that so it acts like a speed stick kinda thing. To get your speed up before a round. Normally, if you have 5 minutes to warm up, you've got no chance of getting near a range.

Was that a little spolier regarding your build the bag series, Pete? Looking at that Qi10 7-wood

Peter, now with a solid driver and oily swing, I am looking forward to your quest for the OPEN !!!

All your doing is raising expectations so when go out there thinking I’m going to crush the course instead it crushes me. Only problem is now I can’t blame not being warmed up lol. Love your videos.

I like to chip if I don’t have time to warm up. I try to focus on proper take away and follow through because I know that will help with the rest of my swing.

Another great vid Pete...but personally, it's ALWAYS my driver that cost me the most strokes per round. It's the only club in my bag that's ever cost me 4 strokes on the first hole (two stroke and distance penalties off the tee).

Great vid, Pete. Sound advice. Is the AI Milled the new putter for '24? Or just using for the vid?

To be honest I’d take long lag putt practice over 2-3 footers all day long. If you don’t get the speed of the greens by lag putting, you’ll be having 6-8 footers (statistically much harder) rather than 2-3 footers. I’ve lost more shots early on by not getting my long putts close to the hole than missing 3 footers. Caveat is that some practice greens don’t resemble the course green speed but fortunately my course does. 👍🏻

Unless you got the first couple tee times or no range at the course, how about actually getting to the course beforehand and be ready to play. This is why people do not improve, it takes them 4 or 5 holes to warm up, by then you got a few doubles already. When you get to the course, expect at least 4 1/2 to 5hr round, know it's going to take that long and stop being impatient on the course. Too many people showing up last minute when they know they have a tee time that day and not planning ahead or knowing what to expect. When I play, I don't expect to be done 4hrs and do not make reservations or plans right after the round

LOL 😂 Watching the guys behind you on the range 🏌️♂️ … They should be watching your videos ☝🏻 You also need to remember… That first shot you make from the first tee counts the same number of strokes as the last putt on the 18th green on the scorecard 😏

That was me last weekend. Stopped at the green on the way to first tee, rolled 2 putts away from the cart and 2 back to get a vague idea how the green was running, back in the cart (buggy), a little stretch at the tee, some warm up swings and off we go. Four 3-putts on the front 9 resulted and some woeful greenside chipping. LMAO
@matthewlaw826811 ай бұрын
@@peterfinchgolf pretty much 😊 I live 5 min drive from the course, takes me 3-5 mins to get the golf clubs out and put my shoes on, it’s a 1 min walk to the 1st tee. If I am not entering a comp then I leave my house 10-15 minutes before my tee time 😂 I am a single digit handicapper, maybe I should warm up and might be able to get it closer to scratch? 🤔
