I’ve been using your foam cannon & turbo nozzle method lately and I like it so much better. I detail from my sedan so this saves me water, time, and having to use several mitts and bring out wash buckets. I used Superior Products Cherry Foam, it’s cheap and foams up very well

Turbo nozzle may be "safer" for tires, wheels... but I would be hesitant to use on paint. Maybe newer paint would handle it ok. I still prefer the gentle alternative of either rinse or APC rinse as my "aggressive" method. I feel if a car has a chip in the paint that Turbo nozzle is more than capable to make that chip worst. I personally do not recommend and for the same reason people use preventative measures in washing, I feel the same about not using Turbo nozzle on paint. I may be wrong... 8oz of product in a foam cannon is excessive IMO. We have multiple products in the market which can do everything you need with only 1oz, maybe even 2oz max. Keep in mind that Pearl is also known to not have thick foam. Thick foam does not make it better, but just better for IG.
@TurnerMobileDetailing
@TurnerMobileDetailing Жыл бұрын
Your not wrong about the turbo nozzle safety precautions. However, using it with an electric pressure washer at a lower psi and using at at least a few feet away is perfectly safe. But being safe if your not comfortable with something is always the best option. As far as the pearl dilution, I’m sure 2oz can do the job. But for me a richer foam is not just for show. It clings longer which gives me longer working time, it doesn’t dry out as quickly in the sun, and gives me notice key more lubrication during the contact wash. So I prefer a shampoo that I can use a small amount and still get a nice foam.
@BlackIce1619
@BlackIce1619 Жыл бұрын
@@TurnerMobileDetailing agree with you and also love your multi towel fold method. I like pearl for bucket and other soap for foam cannon. I may just be a DIY but I still look at cost per application and effectiveness. 1oz or max 2oz multiple others creates awesome slickness and foam (Gsf, Adams Mega Foam, DIY Incredible Suds, Turtle Wax Slick and Slide, etc). 1.1mm orfice on foam cannon as well on electric washer helps significantly.

Turbo nozzle on paint is a no go ! Who is this guy ?
@TurnerMobileDetailing
@TurnerMobileDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
Not true man. Only if you’re using a gas power washer that produces a high PSI water blade at like 3000 and up. With an electric pressure washer like mine that only puts out about 1800 PSI, the turbo nozzle is perfectly safe on paint.

I've heard from many people that Pearl isn't that great of a foamer. I even heard 1 guy who said he went to a P&S training event where they told him to use 10 oz of soap in the foam cannon which is alot.......Granted there are of course many other factors like Pressure Washer GPM rate, pressure washer hose diameter, water hardness, etc. In any case, even the ones who've achieved great foam with Pearl had to use alot of it. I hear the lubrication is great though, I would just stick to using it as a bucket soap/wheel soap and use a different soap for the foam cannon.
@TurnerMobileDetailing
@TurnerMobileDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
It’s decent, but yeah, it’s not the best foamer, I have to use way to much soap to get a decent foam. I’m my experience for a maintenance wash, CG wash and gloss foams better , cleans really well, and uses a lot less to do it. The only advantage Pearl has really is that it disperses in water easily, but I guess that’s part of the problem too because it’s so thin. But it smells really good! 😂

Nice way to use the MF towel method. It’s like a hack from rinseless washing to make traditional washing much more simpler. I’m starting a rinseless based detailing business. If I ever consider going to a pressure washer, I will keep this hack in mind! Great way to use if a customer prefers traditional wash methods. I’ll have a hose handy at all times.

@@TurnerMobileDetailing Thank you! No I’m in FL and most cars I see on the road aren’t filthy. I was originally going to do waterless washing, but I feel it’s just too much risk on paint. I came across rinseless and love the results it gives while being safer. In fact it can be safer then the two buckets using a washmit. Especially if you’re going through MF towels. No dirt in the bucket = no dirt back on the car. There’s so many retailers around, but I have yet to find anyone doing mainly rinseless. It’s a proven method that works even if sometimes it gets a lot of hate or debate of opinions. I’d like to do something different and am looking to standout.
@TurnerMobileDetailing
@TurnerMobileDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelBrianInc yeah I agree, I never use the waterless method. We’ll I hope it works for you. I use the rinseless method mainly when a client doesn’t have running water available, or if I’m short on time. Unlike Florida, here in PA we have a lot of dirty cars haha. So I often need more cleaning power and lubrication than a rinseless wash provides.
@MichaelBrianInc
@MichaelBrianInc 2 жыл бұрын
@@TurnerMobileDetailing that’s for sure. I’ll have a hose with me for more soiled vehicles to use during pre rinse. If need be I can always do traditional and this method you showed would be the one I use! One bucket, no mitt, less mess!

You do know that a quality wash solution emulsifys small particles. Grit Guard do separate larger particles.
@TurnerMobileDetailing
@TurnerMobileDetailing Ай бұрын
So you’re saying it liquifies small dirt particles? That’s what emulsification, or creating an emulsion means. And no, grit guards don’t prevent dirt from kicking back up, they’re just another gimmick of the auto detailing industry to separate you from your money.

So, when doing the foam Cannon method, are you drying each panel after you wash it before moving on to the next panel?
@TurnerMobileDetailing
@TurnerMobileDetailing Жыл бұрын
Not really, the foam cannon produces too much over spray. You could dry one whole side of the vehicle, but at the corners you’d still have to clean up over spray. What I usually do is do the whole vehicle before drying, and if I’m working in the sun I make sure to keep the vehicle wet, and do the sides that are in the sun last so those sides have less time to dry.
